It sounded like a robot! I couldn't understand what "she" was saying. She said something like "This is a call for ...*name here*" "Please call 1888--- ----" "your credit total...."

something like that! would anyone know the number? =\ I'm from Canada.

If they mention the name of a company that you don't do business with (i.e. "This is Jane from your credit card company...", or don't mention any company name at all then it's an absolute SCAM."


So it's not from a collection agency?

Ignore it! It's the latest thing in telemarketing scams. If the caller mentions the name of a company that you do business with, call the number on your billing statement, NEVER the one left by the caller! If they mention the name of a company that you don't do business with (i.e. "This is Jane from your credit card company...", or don't mention any company name at all then it's an absolute SCAM.

Call them, ask, tell them to take you off the list, problem solved.
