Learn a life lesson , suck it up......In life there will be many times where you will have to do this....when you have kids there is no such thing as a goods nights sleep...this should help you learn that it is important to get enough sleep...Not only dose your family expect you to live up to there expectations but so dose your job....As and adult allot of people rely upon you to do the things that you are obligated to do, that's a part of growing up...Let her know how tired you are but also let her know that you learned a lesson by it.....Remember that if you are not a reliable person you will have a hard time holding a job in this world....If you are to tired to show up on time or complete your assigned work then they will find someone more reliable and can....

If it's data entry that you're doing, it's important to step away from the computer for a few minutes every couple of hours. This allows your eyes to rest. I stay suck it up because she's hired you as an employee. I know that 6 hours feels like a long time, but it can go by faster if you give it a chance. Is there any way that you can listen to music while you work or does her office not allow it? You could look up videos on YouTube if they allow you to, so that you can just listen to the music playing in the background quietly as you work.

Suck it up. Part of growing up is doing things that you dont want to do. Plus-your mom stuck her neck out on the line to get you a job in her office-dont make her look bad just because you are tired and dont wanna work. Since I am going to take a stab in the dark here and say that you think you are old enough to date and do what you want for the most part-you are then old enough to be an adult and take on adult responsibilities. Make your mom proud and stay and work.

Suck it up. Working at your mom's office can be very boring, but little distractions can help. Like every hour take a mental break to play some computer solitaire or something, it did wonders for me.

haha, i'm at my mom's work too, and I'm here for 6 more hours also. Yea, just suck it up and look forward to the lunch break, thats what I do. Time goes by faster than you think. I'm lucky and get to listen to music while I do my work, so that helps.

Why are you working at your mom's workplace. is it for your internship. don't be bothered if you are getting only minimum. what matters is that you'll learn from that experience. just get the hang out if it and move on if there will be a better opportunity, thats the time you could leave.

What are you doing on Yahoo Answers if you are getting paid to do a job? Do not embarrass your mother, and stick it out. On your way home, explain to her that this job just is not for you, and tell her you do not wish to go back. Do not just up and walk out on her!
Stick it out, and for the love of God, get off Yahoo answers before you get caught!!
Good luck!!

if you can find a better paying job... go get it.. but keep this job in the meantime... your mom got you this job.. so keep it and then later on discuss finding something better that pays more than minimum wage.

Maybe ask her that since school is coming up to lessen the amount of time that you are at work. School needs to come first. Maybe only work 4 hours every day or every other day, instead.
