They make everyone feel like freaks, first of all. No one likes high school, except for the people that are going to go on to fail because they had it easy in high school.
That said, though, you are absolutely right in that they should spend less time telling people what to believe, and more time actually, you know, teaching things.
Public school tries to take up as much of your life as it can. If you ever end up needing a job before you graduate, or have any obligations at home or outside of school, wave bye-bye to your diploma. With everything they're teaching us about what we're supposed to think about everyone who isn't a straight, white, Christian male (I'm the first two myself, and I think you should be free to be a Christian if you want without anyone making you miserable for it), they've forgotten how to give people a decent education, and just tell kids "sure, you're smart, gifted and talented you doesn't need to waste time on books". They don't think "we're making people give up their own time, which they might need, to watch a stupid play parroting the same crap we've thrown at them the last three thousand times". No, they think "What a wonderful three hour equal opportunity program. Of course we'll send everyone to it."
I disagree with your feeling singled out; "diversity" is the schools way of singling almost everyone out and making them feel miserable, and we'd be better off when the school cares less about controlling our free time and personalities, and just started teaching us the skills we're going to need as adults.
When you raise one person above everyone else, you've made your entire school, except for one person, miserable, and the person who you raised is going to expect to have it that easy their whole life.
"Diversity" is just a kind way of saying "setting kids up to fail"

To fit in to the diversity of a school, try a Christian school.
The diversity there may be what you are searching for.
Public school is for the public and that is a diverse group. It has to educate everyone, and people are different with different beliefs and religions. It is what America is known for, diversity and freedom. To make people be a certain way only is to take away the freedom we have two wars at this time for would not work in this nation.
Church and state are separate, you have to decide what serves you better, a private school that gives you spiritual reinforcement or a public school paid for by everyone that serves everyone.

If you pray the way you post questions on here, then yes, you would get detention. If you bowed your head in silent prayer or spoke quietly then a. you would not get detention because it is your right b. no one would notice or care anyway
If you bowed your head in quiet/silent prayer and got detention for that then you have a lawsuit against the school. But, your idea of prosecution is basically full of crap. Anyone can pray in schools as long as you are not affecting anyone else. Other students telling you that you are brainwashed-honey, it's part of growing up-suck it up and learn to deal. Kids pick on kids for ANYTHING and you just happen to hand them the tools to do it. Enjoy homeschooling...I hope somehow you learn how to interact with others in a more positive and less paranoid way.

I can't begin to list all that is wrong with your statement/question, so I will stick with two main points.
Evolution is not an "agenda," it is a product of the last 150 years of scientific discovery. None of the lifeforms slithering upon the Earth today was "created" in its current form, instead, through natural selection, made changes in its DNA over thousands or millions (yes, millions) of years to become what it is today and that includes an animal called Homo Sapiens. (or is that just another "homo" to you?)
Second, Christian beliefs, or those of any other religion, DO NOT BELONG IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Period. This country was founded on the principle of separation of church and state, with no exceptions for yours, my Christian friend. Science, not religious mythology, belongs in learning institutions.

You're kidding right? You MUST be kidding??
I tried public school for a year with my oldest daughter. I thought "well, the American system separates church from state, and I pay taxes to support this school, surely they won't put a religion on my daughter".
Well that was one crappy year.
Try being the 'token Jew' and having to explain that there are holidays other than xmas and easter.
Try being deprived of your education on good friday but given an absence for pesach.
Try having the calendar let you off for someone's x-mas but having absences add up for Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur.
Try having a kinder garden teacher say to a class of 28 "Oh and everybody, have a happy easter. Oh except you Myriam."
Quit whining because you can't control the system.
Stay in your little homeschool bubble.
As for home schooling, too bad your parents don't care enough to pay tuition in a private school and provide you with a stronger education.
You clearly need it. you must think 'diversity' means methodist AND baptist.

schools are for learning- churches are for praying/religion. Put it on hold for a sec and get a darned education. And if you don't want to be a Christian freak in public schools, come on down to the South.... this is where my grandchildren are the only ones who don't do all those damned Christmas and Easter projects (which should NOT be allowed in public school) they try to force them to do and where other ignorants- like you- taunt them for having "killed Jesus". Still, I prefer a public education for them because it teaches them what they will be up against in THE REAL WORLD- something you, too, need to learn. Shalom

FYI--just because everyone else doesn't believe exactly what you believe doesn't mean you're "persecuted". What would you like their "gay" agenda to be? That all gays are going to hell? Is that fair to the gay students? Should gay students' parents pay taxes for that? You have every right to believe what you want, but you DON'T have every right to believe everyone else will share your beliefes.
And I'm sure you wouldn't have gotten detention for praying at lunch. Over-react much?

Q: If public schools enjoy diversity, why do they push their it's okay to be gay agenda on me, and their evolution agenda on me?
A: Try to learn to read, write, learn some math, science, and whatever else you can pick up. After you graduate you can be as bigoted as you like and nobody can do anything about it.

I have no doubt that you make your feelings well known and as such it should come as no surprise to you at all that people are going to take shots at you.
I'm an atheist with a big mouth and occasionally a bad attitude and I know that I piss people off now and then But I don't get mad at them for being angry at me. I realize that if I'm going to open my big mouth occasionally somebody is going to want to shut it.
Those are the rules of the game if you can't accept them then keep your mouth closed .
Your Christianity is not the issue ,your attitude is-Oh yeah and learn how to fight too bc it comes in handy.
Have fun

people on here act like Christianity was never in schools. It was in schools to begin with because there were small towns and most people used to be Christian. So the only school to go to was a Christian school. Bigger towns and a loss of faith has forced good Christians into faithless schools where children hate and shoot each other.
Jesus said in the last days people would become Godless and wicked!
