I tend to store my weight about my hips, I have 28 inch waist and 39 1/2 inch hips and broad shoulders.

Depends on where the weight is, and how you wear your clothes.

Most women would rather be below 120 at your height to look slender.

And if you have all the weight on your buttocks and hips, you would look just as slender as if you were 20 lbs lighter.

Yes, you are to be considered "chubby". Your FAT but not OBESE. I don't see any reason why u shouldn't show your face in public. I'm guessing it's because you have a lack of self confidence, and are worried about people making cruel comments and teasing you about being overweight. Well, i think you should ignore them, admit that you have a problem with your weight and go out ready 2 face the world. Start eating healthy and doing more exercise and the pounds will soon start 2 drop off. It will be hard but then end result will be worth it. Good luck.

you could lose a few pounds but you don't need to lose all that much. you can show your face anywhere you want regardless of how thin or fat you might be. it is not anyones business what you weigh. the important thing is to be healthy.

i would just start slowly implementing small changes in your diet. cut out all soft drinks that are not diet . drink water or crystal light, iced tea with a little lemon / splenda. go for a walk everyday . cutting out all those sugared up soft drinks alone and adding a bit of excersise would probably be enough to drop a pound a week. after a week or two of being successful you can start to cut out all fried foods , like french fries, hamburgers, etc. eat salads, fruits, grilled / charbroiled chicken breasts with no skin / fat. tell yourself for one week you will not eat any sugared candies/cakes/pies/ice cream.

eat very healthy M - F and on the weekends indulge a little . Have an ice cream on the weekend or have that slice of pie/ candy bar or popcorn and butter. Eat a steak and a potato and real butter. You can enjoy a little of the things you like.

Also, drink a small glass of water before you eat your meal . Put your fork down between bites and eat from a smaller plate. We eat so fast sometimes that we don't have a chance for our body to send a signal to our brain to tell us we are really full. If you slow down , you will have time to get that satisfied feeling before you have inhaled a portion that is designed for a family of four that some restaurant might serve you. use a salad plate at home instead of a dinner plate. you will think you are getting more food and you will put less on your plate than if it was the large one. If you order a meal in restaurant you need to be mindful of the size of a portion they serve. i would suggest as a guideline that you should eat about 1/2 of whatever they serve. 1/2 of food will be more in line to what a proper portion of food that is needed by a female . truthfully, the correct portion would probably be about 1/4 to 1/3 of what they try to serve you.

another easy diet trick to do is start eating half of whatever you would normally eat. have everything you have now / and just reduce your portion of it. if you get hungry in between meals, snacks , you need to drink water. you stomach won't know if you are full from water or food.

no need to starve yourself or do a drastic change. just start making a few changes / and then add a few more if they are needed. do weigh on monday mornings .. you need to measure your progress. it will also be a reason why you won't go too overboard on the weekends !

Yes.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%.

Chew each morsel at least 32 times. Do not touch articles of food or the cutlery in between. This will activate ur body to generate strong signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.

It's very hard to just go by numbers, since muscles weight more than fat, try to go by measurements and how your clothes fit you. There is absolutely no reason you couldn't show your face in public!!!! You go out there and commit yourself to getting healthy and happy with yourself. People come in all sizes and there is no gym I know of or any street to walk on that has a weight limit to anyone wanting to join !!
Believe in yourself and know you can do it if you set your mind to it, and that every day that you are moving towards your goal is a great day. Good luck

sweetie, who cares? its all how you hold yourself. if you make a big deal about your weight like around your freinds, people will just notice it more. (and actually you dont sound chubby at all but this the best i can do teehee) hold your shoulders back , your back straight, cuz then your stomache is more spred out and flat. also, everyone thinks theyre to chubby, so join the club. be happy and be yourself and people wont notice anything.

Are you joking? Have some confidence girl! In a society thats fixed on being anorexic remember just be you. Excercise and eat rt to be healthy. Being skinny or fat doesnt determine whom you are as a person.

your in the normal weight range. but at 150 you would be considered overweight. the more you show yourself as your losing weight the more people will see you as you become skinner
