I don't know if this exists so I'm hoping someone else will have a hint. Basically I'm looking for a statistical analysis of topics in the Bible. That is, each verse broken down to a particular topic/category that is belongs in and counted up / analyzed etc. I've heard of studies that are done on particular topics, but I don't know if anyone has tried to topic-ize the whole thing.

thanks in advance

Sounds like you are looking for a Crusade Analytical Study edition. No, you can't have mine. Sorry. It was a gift 30 years ago.

Edited to explain a little more:

I use several different Bibles. The Crusade Analytical has the regular arrangement in the first half. The second half contains all the verses in topics. It's VERY interesting! Even though I used the KJV throughout my childhood and memorized much of it and own many KJVs (including my Crusade Analytical) I must respectfully disagree with the person who said the KJV is the only real Bible. You need to do some research on how the various translations came to be.

What you are talking about is called a "Topical Bible". It sorts all the verses by topics or categories.

I am not aware of any "one page chart" you can download that will give you the number of verse on "money" or the number of verses on "love". That is because there is going to be some debate on what verses talk about certain subjects. If Jesus mentioned money once in a long story, do you count the whole story or only the single reference?

But a good Topical Bible will let you research the subjects you are interested in and create such statistics.

Who knows, put something like that together you could have a market for it....

First answerer is sturdy. flow to a Christian bookstall, they have hundreds of Bibles you could leaf by. As for a renowned language, I advise the NIV and HCSB. The NLT is likewise sturdy, yet a procedures much less precise. i might ward off outright paraphrases like the Message or be conscious on the line.

Get the new Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, it has a complete topical index.

The New Living Translation has been broken down and published in a version called "Touchpoints"

The NLT translation is the easiest to understand in today's 'language'

here is the link for Amazon where it is all described and available for purchase

One topic-ization I would recommend can be found in Thompson Chain Reference Bible. Visit your local Christian bookstore and check it out.

The closest I have come to that is my Thompson's Chain Reference Bible....it has a rather extensive topical reference in the back.

Hope it helps.

Here's a good site you might want to check out. I'm not sure that it's exactly what you're looking for, but I think it'll make a good starting point.
