Everytime my friends find a new boyfriend, I keep thinking the same thoughts "They are so darn young, they will break up anyway." And it's usually true, after a few months, my friends suffer from break-ups. Is that the reason I am without boyfriend until now? Am I not willing to love (and to be hurt?)?

You aren't heartless, you just know that you are young and you want to have fun.. not bother with pointless relationships. There is nothing wrong with that at all. In fact, it's a good thing! Enjoy learning who you are without having a guy around all the time.

I think you are a bit... pragmatic. I think you are a bit frustrated from the fact that you didn't experienced the aphrodiziac of love so far. You should loosen up a little bit.
Yeah, people who love, get hurt. But that's part of the game. I intend to say: a dead heart is a bad heart. It's better to love as many time you can and get hurt, then not being loved at all.

Sometimes people have deeper feelings and emotions in a break up, than they have during a summery love relationship. So even if it sounds scarry, there are advantages in heartbreaks as well. They make you feel very deep and make you have thoughts and feelings that you have never experienced before. Althought it's painful, I rather consider it as a step towards my personal maturity. Of course fulfilled love is more sweet. :-))

Well, I hope you keep your thoughts about your friends' relationships to yourself. But in the meantime, it sounds like you are being pragmatic. Just don't let that 'common sense' prevent you from giving love a shot yourself! We all have to take chances if we're going to find someone.

You do not need to be in a relationship just because everybody else is in one. Maybe you are the brainy type that requires a lot from a partner to sweep you off your feet. But be a little discrete with your thoughts on other people's relationships and maybe just keep it to yourself. =)

Yours is a mature outlook, they are the ones being juvenile. By waiting for that someone special you are more likely to make a lasting relationship.
