I am not planning on doing anything fancy with the camera. I just need it to take pics of me and my family on a trip and on random days when im bored and graffitis. Vivid colors and clear pics are the results that i want

At least 6 mega pixels. is fiji a good brand?

Im also on a budget. willing to spend up to 200 (doesnt include tax)

thanks

the link above will show you 4 pages worth of cams for under $200. anywhere from 4mp on up. now i do own fuji and panasonic cams and they both take great pics. i owned a canon before and to tell you the truth, not much difference in the three brands. get a camera that appeals to you. one that you would like to take pics with. don't let anybody decide for you. image stabilization is important if you don't have a steady hand. don't be afraid to take 2 or three photos of the same thing then delete the ones you don't like.
i do think fuji does take some of the best pics though...their film is known for color and the digital cams do take it to the next level. enjoy in selecting.

Cannons are good, Kodak is a good easy camera It really depends on what you like and what you ar going to use it for Cost of the digitals are going down and quality up. Kodak is probably the most user friendly camera. Most of the others can be intmidating, if you are not savy. Take the time to try them out in the store. it will be time well spent.

I bought a Sony....it's fabulous! The best pics I've ever had. Believe you can get it for $200. Mine was $250 (but that was because it had a wheel on it for options, instead of a menu - my hubby isn't that tech savvy) The one with the menu was $200.

Fiji does not make cameras but FUJI makes very good ones.
Anyway, Fuji FinePix F30. Canon PowerShot A630, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H2 (if you like plenty of zoom), and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55.

Try Nikon L12. It's a great camera with 7.2 megapixels and well within your budget.

I would suggest Canon. An excellent brand for those who are beginning photography and very benfecial for those who are used to taking photos.

A great camera I found is the OLYMPUS FE-230
It is priced at $199 but I am sure you can find it cheaper at other places.
7.1 MP Great Camera!
