my next door neighbor killed her sick cat by giving it aspirin or benadryl through a syringe. she hates me so she grabbed mine up when it was in her yard and we found it later so sleepy and horrible sick. he died later that night. i am so sad. how could i prosecute them? we have five children and they are such awful people when we had a small ceremony out in front...(to the side by the garden actually) they found funeral music and played it while they clapped. we've thrown a couple of cheap shots in from time to time..but i think this went way too far. an animal died here. it's just so sad.

OH my God! I would totally loose it if somone did something like that to my cat! And for all those people that said they had a right to kill your cat because it was on their property, that's a bunch of hogwash, NO ONE has the right to kill an innocent animal. If it was a dog charging at them baring it's teeth, different story. If they didn't want it on their property they should have called animal control or had a talk with you, not kill the thing! I would call the police, I don't know how much good it's going to do you. I am so sorry to hear your story, that poor innocent cat. You neighbor is a very, very sick individual.

Ugh. this entire situation is unhappy and unsightly. Why in the worldwide might all of us in basic terms set a kitten down on the different area of a fence, if it were of their canines's mouth? Did it no longer happen to him that the damaging situation whould choose a vet? The kittens could desire to have been secure against going right into a backyard with a extensive canines besides - like I pronounced, the completed situation is incredibly no longer sturdy. particularly everyone in touch has failed those animals.

Call the police or your local animal shelter, SPCA or Humane Society.

Cruelty to animals is a crime, and you are absolutely justified in reporting it to authorities. There are specific laws about how we are to treat companion animals. If you are in a major city with an animal shelter like what I mentioned, they will have a way for you to report animal cruelty. Any evidence of your allegation would be helpful, but if you believe this woman killed your animal that gut feeling is evidence enough to call. People that intentionally hurt animals are dangerous, and it is in your community's interest to take this seriously.

well technically they had a right to dispose of it IF they thought it was a threat to another animal or their property. you should have the kitten checked for the cause of death and if they find it was poisoned then either the vet or you should notify the police and either the humane society or aspca. people are self absorbed a--holes. put up a privacy fence on their side so you can limit contact with them. if you get another kitten make sure it stays inside please, they are just too cruel to put another animal at risk of these people getting to it.

You can call the police and they should have an aspca unit or something similar to it. If that doesn't work you can try to locate a humane society or a local aspca place and they should be able to help you!

I hope something is done!!! That's so horrible!!

Well, you'll need proof that she did it. Call your local law enforcement, the SPCA and your vet for some guidance.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I would suggest that if you have any other cats, please keep them indoors from now on. They'll be away from your neighbor, and also be healthier in the long run.

Call the police!
If you try prosecute them back, they'll do even more harm.
Call also teh animal protection. Even if they wont have evidences, they will hopefully scare them off.

Call Animal Control. It's illegal for them to murder an animal like that.

1) why wouldn't you have taken your pet to the vet when you found it ill?

2) call the local law enforcement.
