I have had my goatee for the last two years, and I have the urge to shave it off. The people around me tell me I look good either way. In general, do guys look better with facial hair and should I shave my goatee off.

it depends on personally preference....if it looks messy and unclean then no but if it is light stuble i think it looks good.....too much hair makes me laugh actually or just be put off...it is up to you and if u look good either way then isnt that good

It's entirely personal preference, and even then it's whether it looks good on the individual.
Some guys can manage to pull off a long goatee, others look great with a short one. Still others look horrible with any facial hair at all because of the shape of their face. My husband happens to be one of those people with a "baby face", and at 30 if he doesn't have some sort of facial hair, he still looks 12.
It's entirely up to you whether you want to try for a new look or keep your old one. Your friends shouldn't care either way, and neither should the ladies ;)

it depends on the guy, bc there are some guys with nice big eyes and the goatee looks good with big eyes it makes the face more full and attractive...also if the guy is over weight the goatee is a no-no...but even w/o any facial hair i think guys look good either way..just an opinion

Well some guys do look good both ways, but not all of them. I know a couple of guys that have had to shave for work, and they look much better with facial hair. So take advice from people that know you with and without facial hair! Good luck!

I, personally, cannot stand facial hair no matter how well the person can pull it off. If you look good either way and you want to shave it, then go ahead.

I personally do not like facial hair, but other girls find it so attractive. Do whatever pleases you and if you do not want to shave it off, then that's fine :)

I don't like facial hair, and I consider goatees nasty. They just don't look right. Mustaches are okay.

i don't particularly like facial hair but you could try shaving it off (after all, it's going to grow back). just don't think that if people look at you weirdly it means its bad. if you've had it for two years, people are going to need to adapt!
