I'm no JPM fanboy, but you've got to admit... Harvick's actions yesterday showed a real lack of class. I used to like this guy because he was from my hometown, and he had big shoes to fill over at Childress..but yesterday was simply embarassing. I can see him being upset right after the accident, but later when he KNEW that Truex Jr. caused the wreck, he STILL blamed Montoya and punctuated that by saying he wanted to kick his a** in a live interview. Kevin, if you're such a man, why didn't you take off your helmet when you got out of the car and started sh*t with another driver?

Were we watching the same race? Whether or not JPM was blocking the 1, he did not intentionally wreck Harvick. Harvick pulled his car across the track and blocked Montoya from leaving, so Montoya got out of the car. That's called road rage, buddy. Harvick had his hand on JPM's firesuit before JPM grabbed his helmet. JPM was trying to EXPLAIN what happened, then tried to WALK AWAY. Harvick's nothing but a bully and a whiney baby. Man, where's Jimmy Spencer when you need him...

I'm just saying. KH shouldn't have started the whole confrontation to begin with. Not on the track. Take it to the garage and deal with it there. As for JPM attacking him first... he may have grabbed his helmet first, now that I've looked at it again... but that's after he tried to explain what happened, started to walk away, and Harvick followed him with his mouth running. And who knows what he actually said...
Like I said, JPM has crashed a bunch of people out this year, and he's not my driver. But come on, don't act all rough and tough with your helmet on. You ain't no Bobby Allison.

Montoya doesn't need to go pushing people around. He pushed Harvick away first. He wrecks someone by doing just what Harvick thought he did every week. That kind of record means you are going to get the finger pointed at you when it happens. Harvick should have beat his *** for it anyways. Bobby Labonte said Montoya caused the wreck and it sure looked like he was trying to block Truex when he got hit.

Kevin Harvick said that's what he had said to Montoya when they were out on the track. I mean, they asked what he said. What is he supposed to do, lie and say that he was telling Montoya, "Hey, we crashed, let's go and get a beer after the race"?
The media asked, and Harvick told it like it happened.
Edit: And as for what he did out on the track, I've replayed that part a hundred times now, and I don't see that Harvick has his hand on Montoya. He's doing the whole finger in the face thing, but he's not actually touching Montoya until he grabs Harvick's helmet.
So Harvick kind of lost his cool for a little while before he knew what was going on. Open mouth, insert foot. It happens to everyone.

It seems Montoya is always running someone over, so Harvick naturally thought that is what he did in this case. He intentionally moved inside to block Truex Jr (who was faster) when Montoya knew he was slow on the restarts, he even admitted it. If he would have left Truex Jr take the inside and get is position back later (which he would have) the entire wreck would have been avoided. And for the record Harvick did not say that he wanted to kick Montoya's @ss after the wreck. He was asked by reporters what he was saying to Montoya on the track after the incident and he said "I was talking about kicking his ***, because that's how I felt about him." Which I am sure anyone in his position at that time would have felt. The real loser in that wreck was Jeff Burton. But hey, Stewart won....so it was a great day!!!

Use punctuation and capitalization, please. It's hard to read. Back during the 2001 season, NASCAR and their fans saluted Earnhardt on every 3rd lap of each race. The commentators were silent, and the fans held up three fingers. What they pretty much said about Harvick was that Dale's team was the same, just a different driver and all. Harvick drove the car that Dale Sr. was supposed to race in Atlanta. It was an exact replica of the 2000 finish where Earnhardt edged Bobby Labonte at the line by 0.006. Steve Park won the week after Earnhardt passed away, at the Dura Lube 400 at Rockingham. He had an emotional interview in victory lane, and who could blame the guy? He lost his team owner a week before so to come and win the next week was just awesome. It was sad to see Dale Jr. wreck in the first lap, and strangely enough, the wreck looked eerily similar to the one that took Senior's life a week before. Waltrip didn't even get to celebrate his win in the Daytona 500 long, so for Dale Jr. to bring home the checkers during the Pepsi 400 was a chance for him to celebrate with Junior. What a great race that was.

I can't blame KH. There is no way in the world that you would say the same thing if JPM had made a bonzai run and ran into KH without the help of Truex. I am not saying JPM was in the wrong, all I am saying is KH didn't know that JPM was pushed into him, all he saw was what looked like the dumbest pass attempt in the world, and I will say if JPM had not done very similar things before he might have got the benefit of the doubt, but he has pulled that very same pass off a number of times. So I am saying even though I think KH is wrong I can see why

That's true, Harvick helped JPM for Nascar transition. but it doesn't means Montoya have to bent in his knees to him, I am sure Harvick was disrespectful to Montoya from the beginning. Maybe he is jealous and can't stand Montoya's competitions

I think that after wards when he knew that Truex hit Montoya he was just saying that that's what he said out on the track, "I was talking about kicking his ***" That doesn't mean he was still blaming Montoya, even though I would, and do.

Maybe the camera people should keep the camera pointed elsewhere, and not on the "heat of the moment" actions.
I know this is what the media feeds on, but give the guys a break, would you like a camera shoved in your face at any time? I know I wouldn't.
As for his remark, well, most of the drivers have had something nasty to say at one point or another in their careers, not every single driver, but a lot of them.
Some are hotheads and some aren't. Kevin is, along with Tony, thats the way they are.
And, this is the second incedent with the no-driving JPM.
Of course Kevin is displeased.
Regardless, I'm still a Harvick fan.
