I've been dealing with an ear infection all weekend. I don't feel particularly sick today but I'm grumpy and irritable on a scale that's bad even for me. Everytime I think of something to do with myself (school work, video games, reading) it sounds stupid and boring. What should I do with myself???

Good for you. I never have the guts to call into work. I haven't missed one day in the past six moths, not for illness or vacation. God I need a vacation.
I know the mood you speak of. No way to channel your restlessness. Maybe R&S in the solution for you, you'll get fed up soon enough and realize that anything else you could be doing is better than this!

I really doubt that you will go to hell for this, but maybe you should get out of the house for a while. Sounds like you're feeling grumpy, irritable, and bored. Go to a mall or go to a park or whatever you enjoy.

have fun ranting in R&S. it does get old from time to time, but should keep you occupied for a little bit.
sleep is another good idea. i reccomend that one.
and i'd say calling into work is as close as we will ever be to heaven.
