Negatively it is deliverance from guilt, power, and love of Sin. Positively, it is an intiation into the kingdom of God, which puts you right with God and makes you His child. In action, it is conversion a Turning from sin to God. How many of you find this easier said and done?

When Adam didn't understand he went to the tree. Belief in the creation. Sort of like science, bless it. When you go to God he gives you the power and the glory, the how to and why for. That means listening to the still small voice. Also listen to the master and don't judge, be thankful by looking at what you have and can do and love your enemies, that's perfect love and you get a perfect reward, the fruit, one of which is self control. You can't do much without self control. It's a gift for obedience or the law like obeying the laws of physics. Everything works by rules, even miracles.

No one said it was going to be easy (it just so happens that so many people assume that they are going to receive salvation that is often misleading). The negative aspects sound a lot like Buddhist ideas (deliverance from desires). I do not know if a human can truly understand how to abandon sin, however, let alone give significant due to an entity they cannot see.

Salvation is deliverance from danger or suffering. To save is to deliver or protect. The word carries the idea of victory, health, or preservation. Sometimes, the Bible uses the words saved or salvation to refer to temporal, physical deliverance, such as Paul’s deliverance from prison (Philippians 1:19).
In the Christian doctrine of salvation, God has rescued us through Christ (John 3:17). Specifically, it was Jesus’ death on the cross and subsequent resurrection that achieved our salvation (Romans 5:10; Ephesians 1:7). Scripture is clear that salvation is the gracious, undeserved gift of God (Ephesians 2:5, 8) and is only available through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).
It is because of the Holy Spirit that is given at the moment of salvation that guides us and illuminates our mind to sin that keeps us on the right track toward God.

Just because we accept Jesus as our Savior does not mean we suddenly never sin again. It's still a struggle on a daily basis to refrain from sin. Our goal is not to sin and we strive for that goal. But when we make a mistake, we apologize to God and we should learn from that mistake. He sees what's in our hearts and as long as He sees we are sincerely trying to do the right thing, He will be merciful.

well salvation, in my opinion is expressed in John 3:3-5.3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.[a]"

4"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"

5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

Now what does this mean? Most believe that this is to be baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit. But how do we go about this the right way?

Well, Baptism is defined as 1.Ecclesiastical. a ceremonial immersion in water, or application of water, as an initiatory rite or sacrament of the Christian church. Look at that word, immersion. Since when has the deffinition of baptism changed?
Matthew 28:19 says 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,.
Now that verse confuses a lot of people because Acts 2:38 says And Peter said unto them: Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the gift of the holy ghost. 2:39 says that this promise is unto you and your childeren and all that are afar off, as many as the lord our God shall call. This means that this verse is still evident today. Were only the original disciples to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost?, or are they titles, given to Yaweh, because somewhere in Matthew it says that his name shall be called Emanual, meaning God among us. So this poses the question, is the father son and Holy Ghost all in this one omnipotent being? This is why I believe we are to baptize by immersion in the name of Jesus, plus I can not find one place in the Bible where they baptize in the name of the father, son and Holy Ghost.
If you are a male, and have a son, and a father, doesn't that make you all 3? Your a son to your father, a father to your son, and you are a spirit, that is yourself; but your name isnt father son or spirit, its joe or jack or something.

Now how do you know you have the holy spirit? In the book of acts it says they spoke with other tongues, and in several other books it says they spoke with other tongues and propheseyed. And I think that just those two works of the Holy Ghost dont even scratch the surface of what it can do through us.

Salvation is, then, being baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost. It is as John 3 says being born again of water and spirit. It is dying to sin and having eternal life. I dont think that once you are saved you are always saved, it is making a conscience choice to not sin, you can always turn back. This is not easier said then done if you believe you are truly saved, because the Holy Spirit will work through you helping you through those tough times. From experience Ive found it almost impossible to stay in the wrong way for the rest of my life. I pray that people reading this will open their mind and not judge me according to my beliefs, cuz I dont judge you according to yours. And maybe someone who is unsaved will get saved, and not by me, but only by the Lord Jesus Christ.

I think we give sin too much credit. It really isn't that hard to turn from sin. The hard part is turning to God. This involves seeing the good in everything. Its much easier to see the sin (and accept it) in myself than see the face of God.

When someone asks a question such as this I think of a Christian, German concentration camp guard at Auschwitz in 1944. He has a loving family who he takes to church every Sunday without fail. On this day, he is leading a family of Jews to their deaths in the gas chamber. Here's where things get confusing for me. According to the bible, all the German guard must do is accept Jesus as his savior and the son of god and ask for forgiveness of this terrible sin of multiple murders of innocent victims, and he will dwell in heaven forever when he dies after living a long and fruitful life. The innocent Jewish family, however, because they don't believe just as the German does, after having their lives cut miserably short and not allowed to bring up children have, grandchildren and enjoy the other niceties of life like the German will enjoy, will burn in hell for eternity. That's just sick man.

Easier said than done....this is true.

But thanks be to God that the work has been finished on the cross at Calvary.

I did nothing to earn it......and I could never in a million lifetimes ever work my way into heaven or attain perfection.
The righteousness of Christ has been transferred to me at the cross.....and I (and countless other Christians worldwide) have been counted as righteous.

Salvation is the direct experience of body of light floating in a sea of light. The experience of that single entity.

In that state of being compassionate love flows out without reason.

Salvation is party of the fairy tale told to immature minds so that they will accept the brainwashing of the rest of the program.
