I need to take a day off tomorrow as my brother has flown in from the UK to meet me in Oz and I have a PARENTS INFO NIGHT IN TH E EVENING that I need to get out of too!!!
So it must be something that knocks me out all day

try torticollis - basically a creek in your neck (muscular) that's painful, can leave you housebound but can also resolve over 24hrs.
or complain of blood in your urine and that your off to see a doctor - where the problem magically resolves with no nasty poking and prodding!!
although i'm sure your bro's flying to oz from uk for more than one day and you don't REALLY have to take a sickie???

Upset stomach is good, could be from anything and can be a one day thing or a couple days if you so desire. At my place of work though, you can't just say an upset stomach, you have to describe the settings so I'd say diarrhoea and vomiting could be a stomach bug or just a dodgy curry

could have a 24 hour stomach bug. just make sure u go into work looking a bit pale and black circles under the eyes the next day, a bit of make up would do the trick. either that, or women's problems....

Tut Tut, try a migraine that you cant get out of bed with because if you do you feel sick and if you do throw up its gonna make you're migraine worse, good luck you might need it if you get caught out.
