I'm totally heartbroken! I don't want to be alive anymore! I just become more n more negative everyday!

All of my problems r caused by "English"~
* I'm really struggle at uni, I don't think I could handle the workload! Plus English reading + writing r so hard for me as English is my 2nd language!
(I'm actually doing a mature-age course so it's only part- time but I'm so tired everyday...) :(

* I live alone and parents r busy, friends r busy at work n uni... So I really have no one to talk to...and recently just told my tutor at uni, I had trouble in English...then he adviced me to contact with the co-ordinator. He's my tutor, shouldnt him care about his student? I feel no one care about me :(

* My tutor (outside uni) just told me today he can't take me anymore cos he has too many student already...(I really feel this is the end of the world when he told me) I know I will never pass this course without a tutor!!! And now it's hard to find one! :(

OMG........

Don't take everything so personal.. I know it hurts...I've been there before, but you should try and do things yourself that will take your mind off of it. Like go for a walk...write. something like that. Hope it helps.

I agree with Joe P. You need to get yourself in to see a counselor. Discuss it with your doctor and get a referral immediately. It will make a world of difference.

Meanwhile, take your tutor's advice and talk to the co-ordinator. Talk to your instructors in class about this, too. Having trouble with English is really tough, but there ARE people at the uni that are there to help you.

I tutor people in English in the States, and I have two words of advice. One is to talk in English to people whenever you have the chance. The biggest mistake that some people make is not to practice, practice, practice. The second word of advice I have is to never give up! Your worst case scenario here is that you have to put off uni for a year or two and concentrate on improving your English. That is not the end of the world. It happens to people all the time. You can do it! But it takes time.

In the meantime, your being tired and depressed is what is holding you back more than your ability with English. See your doctor about it right away. As soon as you learn to control your depression, learning English will become easier.

Good luck!

Listen, honey. Take ur tutor's advice. Talk to a counsellor. Get help-.talk to a doctor. This is not the end of the world. Don't go down the chemical route if u can avoid it. Yes, ur tutor does care about his student. He's giving u the best advice possible. If uni is proving too much, postpone it for a year or so, and concentrate on being happy with English. Find an activity that doesn't involve studying , to take your mind off it. I don't know where u live, so I can't help much more - I'm in ther UK. If it helps to email me, please do. God bless you.

First of all, don't panic. Take some deep breaths and try to calm down. You are not alone. Keep that in mind. We have all felt overwhelmed and stressed in our lives and we all handle it differently. Being depressed is a natural reaction. Go on your school's website and see if there is counseling available. He/she will give you the support you need by suggesting how to handle stress.
Consider dropping a course and take some of the pressure off. Nothing is worth getting to the point where you don't want to live.
Please don't do anything to hurt yourself.
Get to a counselor or even your own doctor immediately.

First of all nothing is so bad that it's " not worth living anymore." If you are really depressed as we all have been at one time or another you need to talk to someone who is qualified to help you in that area. I'm sure your school offers counseling and it sounds like you need to make that a priority.

Second, make sure that you're eating properly, getting enough rest and some form of excersize to help keep your resistance up. If I'm not mistaken vitamin D from exposure to sunlight can aid in counteracting depression.

Good luck to you and try to remember that the position you are in right now is only temporary.

I would get counseling if I were you. Saying you do not want to live anymore is no joking matter. If you are contemplating suicide I would call the suicide hotline in your phone book immediately and or head to the nearest medical facility. English may be important to graduate but it is not the end of the world.
