Yes, I agree. They DID make sure they showed us a picture of one of them riding a bike on the news yesterday, but it wouldn't surprise me if that hadn't arrived in a camper van anyway! It's all amusing in a strange way because they think they're doing SUCH an important thing, but I wonder how much rubbish they'll be leaving behind FOR SOMEBODY ELSE TO CLEAR UP let alone take it away themselves for recycling...! And how much will it cost the rest of us in tax when the time comes to remove them when things get out of hand? Yes, I KNOW "it's a peaceful protest" but that's only until the B.A.A. start getting nasty with them because they're a bleeding nuisance there - and come on, we ALL know it WILL turn nasty - they always do ! ! !

Stop climate change? You might as well say 'stop the tide coming in' or 'stop the sun setting'. Climate is a dynamic system, and like all dynamic systems is in a permanent state of change. It will happen anyway. Are humans having an effect? If we are, then it is nowhere near as much as is being claimed. The problem is that there is so much money to be made from it. Who builds the wind turbines? The're not doing it for free. What about all the research jobs, lobbyists, climate change impact assessment officers in councils, etc. And thats before we get on to the wonderful excuse it gives governments and councils to increase tax. If (when) mans impact on global warming is shown to be negligible, all that will disappear. But don't hold your breath. After all, no-one is going to fund research which might kill the golden goose, are they?

traditionally as with the present one that has lasted approximately one hundred thirty years now heat sessions have much less affliction, greater suited food supplies and transforming into inhabitants stages and that seems to be preserving real. on the different hand deep cooling sessions like the little ice age that ended interior the mid 1800s have serious well being concerns for anybody. The lead in to the little ice age further with it the black plague that devastated the inhabitants of Europe and the middle East because of the fact superstitious people who have been taught to associate cats with witches throughout the time of the catholic and puritan inquisitions had killed off a huge proportion of the cat inhabitants that could have saved them basically approximately rat unfastened. yet because of the fact they killed lots of the cats the fleas from the plague rats killed them. Warming climate brings well being and prosperity to the international. Cooling climate brings affliction, starvation and barbarian invasions of northerners shifting south to discover warmer lands to develop food on and stay in convenience on. worry extra chilly not a sprint heat temperature!

I agree with answers that say environmental campaigners often do good, but really when it comes to global warming they are way over the top.
For a start, can we drop this stupid meaningless phrase "Save The Planet" because the planet is not and never was in any danger. It has gone through countless climate changes in it's history and will no doubt go through many more but it survived and so did much of the life on it.
What we need to do it figure out how climate change is going to affect different regions and how we can adapt to it, but please stop telling us to stop driving cars or flying, this is 2007, we are a highly technological society and nobody is going to listen to you telling them that they can't have all the lovely hi tech goodies and foreign holidays so please put your energy into somthing constructive.

I wonder how many are students and lecturers. I would also like to know what their parents do for a living. Mummy and Daddy's little darlings. I bet there arent many working class lads and lasses, they are too busy working. No time for them, but they should have the right to protest if they wish, but not interfere with the travelling public whatsoever.

There's campaigners and there's campaigners.
Some people are extreme and need a reality check but most are concerned about the welfare of the planet. If such people hadn't been around for the last couple of hundred years we'd have almost no parks, no open spaces, there would be so much pollution the air would be almost unbreathable, the seas and oceans would be a toxic waste ground, acid rain would have destroyed vast tracts of land and the ozone layer would by now be almost depleted with large numbers of people having contracted skin cancer etc.

I was going to ask this question. How can they possibly hold down a job when they're swanning off everywhere to attend a protest. Before I retired I couldn't afford to do that. I would have found myself unemployed. As a pensioner I continue to pay tax and I suppose it part goes towards keeping these misfits whom I suspect are unemployable anyway.I guess protesting about something raises their ego and makes them feel that they are useful. If I wished to visit my relatives abroad, do these people expect me to swim, or stay at home. I flew abroad last September to visit my dying sister and I would just dare one of the misfits to object. It wouldn't surprise me if some of them would be prepared to put passengers lives in jeopardy at Heathrow rather than give up their "save the World project"

They have no other skills, and the snake oil industry has died and gone to hell. That is why they have to create hysteria to get money and power from gullible scared people.
