you need to go back a few years and get some of the older films - Carrie scared the living daylights out of me the first time i watched it! The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was also pretty scary. And the scariest of them all - The Exorcist.
have a great night!
Just remembered - The Omen was good too. And the answer above me, Duel was really scary!

How about...
The ORIGINAL and BEST Wicker Man - starring The Equalizer and Christopher Lee (not only is the ending sick but the folk dancing involved will keep you awake at night too!)
Scanners, or pretty much anything directed by David Cronenberg
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Nightbreed - although actually that's more cerebral than scary
Any of the Hellraiser series
And this may be a little more difficult to obtain but THREADS a drama made by the BBC at the height of the Cold War about what would happen to Sheffield in a nuclear attack and never shown for fear of freaking out all of England will chill you to the bones, absolutely unrelenting and no happy ending.

The "Scream" movies - about a group of 16 year olds, so maybe you can identify!
Final Destination trilogy, but maybe a bit tame?
I tell you what I watched that scared the absolute beejesus out of me a few months back - House of Wax; seriously sick plus you get to see Paris Hilton killed off! :)
For severe distress, go for Pet Cemetry. You have been warned.
Happy watching, remember to buy a massive bag if popcorn for comfort (if you're a British 16year old, don't forget the 3l bottle of cider to boot :)

Darkness Falls, about an evil toothfairy that kills you when you loose your last baby tooth. The Boogyman is also very good. Hostel is great, cant wait for Hostel 2 out soon. Also any hellraiser film is good.
Let me know what you get, and what you thought of it.
P.S. Any film that comes from a stephen king book is also worth a watch

The Ring, the original Wicker Man, but if you really want the pants scared off you get The Exorcist. Made in 1973 it will still make you mess your jimjams. If you are easily scared, don't watch it at all. On it's original release people had heart attacks in the cinema.
