In order to enroll a child in a public school system state law requires a parent or guardian of a child to provide certain information to the child’s school division. A birth certificate and certain medical records are required. You should be able to get a copy of the birth certificate or at least the information from the school you attended.

I would start by calling the Health and Senior Servised Division where you live and explain the situation to them. They should be able to explain the correct process for you to take. You may have to personally go apply and pick it up due to the circumstances and show several forms of ID. I would also talk to your mother and family members. You have the right to know where you were born and most certainly who your father was!!

do you live in the same state where you were born? call down to the capital. all records are kept on file there. all you need is your name, mom's name and your date of birth. explain the rest to whomever you talk to. i'm sure they can get you a copy. good luck.

i think you have to try and know if there are any of your mother's friends or people who you think know her that you can ask . explain to them your predicament if they know anything about it they will likely tell you, that is if you go about it in a respectable and mannerly form.
