Matt Kenseth, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Burton all come to mind. Out of them I would probably go with Matt as the driver that makes the fewest mistakes from year to year. He doesn't win as much as some of the other drivers but he also hardly EVER has a DNF and is usually on the lead lap.

Martin,Kennseth,Burton by far make the least and Stewart.Gordon and Johnson probably make the most for top 10 cars. But the first group mentioned have 1 career Nextal Championship and the latter group has 7,so you decide, mistakes aside, which group handles pressure better?

gordon
even when he makes a mistake like yesterday he still pulls out a top 10

although mark martin is one of the best of all time at not making mistakes

and by the way gordon is about to break richard petty's record of most top 10's in a season in modern day racing i think he needs like 6 more out of the next 14 races they said yesterday thats pretty consitent

I don't think I have ever seen Mark Martin lose his cool once. He doesn't get rattled and always seems to stay focused. Best driver to never win a championship.

Look over the past few years and two people stick out, Johnson and Kenseth. Gordon, Jr., and Stewart have all missed the chase recently.
