I live in the mountains where there are lots of wildlife. We have coyotes up here by the zillions! They don't bother you to much except by following you, it gives you a weird feeling, but they don't really bother you too much. BUT sometimes dogs and coyotes breed and their off spring all called coy-dogs and they are really mean and will bite. I didn't want to use pepper spray or a gun because I figured I'd either accidentally spray or shoot myself, plus I'm just not really into either. A forest ranger up here gave me the best idea, it scares off bears, coyotes, and coy-dogs plus brings help fast, it's an air horn the type they use on boats. It makes the loudest noise I have ever heard. Everything runs, birds, animals, bad people, but for some reason good people recognize it as a call for help. It costs about 16 dollars and you can get them at any marine store and some RV stores. I recommend that all young girls carry one, they are really noisy and very effective. Don't let your friends make a nuisance of it or they won't let you bring it to school. Maybe give it to the Principal to hold for you until you leave for home, but I guarantee it works and nobody gets hurt.

First, pepper spray has an instant effect if you get it near the eyes or nose. That would be a pretty good solution if the dogs are truly aggressive. Perhaps you can bring it to school, hand it to your teacher, and get it back at the end of the day every day - surely your school would prefer that you are safe!
But there's a second part to this. Dogs can pick up when you're scared very quickly, and it can make a poorly trained (or trained to be aggressive) dog much more aggressive. So if you can, see if you can find someone with friendly dogs, and see if you can't teach yourself to be more comfortable around dogs in general. If you can act more self-confident around those aggressive dogs, they are much less likely to be aggressive towards you. And, then, of course, you'll (I hope) have that pepper spray if it should come to that, the knowledge of which should make you more self confident too.
I don't know what part of the world you're in, and how dogs are considered there. In the US, where I am, that kind of aggressive dogs would be considered a community menace and a fit subject for police attention, but we don't count in kilometers, so you're not down the road from me, and I know that much of the rest of the world uses dogs more for guarding and less for companionship.
If you can't get pepper spray, perhaps you could get an air horn? Like obnoxious fans use at sporting events sometimes? That would at the very least startle the dogs, if it was aimed at them, without hurting them, while perhaps attracting adult attention if anyone's nearby.
In response to your question, wouldn't pepper spray make them more angry, I can only say that that's what mailmen carry to defend themselves against aggressive dogs. It mostly just makes their eyes and nose feel as if they were burning, while also making their eyes water (so they can't see you very well either.) If it works for the mailman, without causing permanent damage to the dogs, it can work for you.

pepper spray in teh face it would affect them long enogh to get away.
Also if a dog comes more in an attack form the best thing is stand perfectly still arms folded in front of you and DO NOT look at teh dogs.
I know you didn't mean to but the last time you were attacked it was your fault you definately edged them into an attack. By yelling and trying to get away the dog did not know what was going on and you acted like prey causing the bite.
i also get dog biscuits and carry with me that way you can often make friends witht eh dogs and they will actually come to get and once you learn dogs aren't so bad you may even want one.
Hope this will help
Good luck with school
and your walks

Maybe, you could carry pepper spray to school with your parents permission and leave it in the office until its time to go home? Your parents could notify the school and local authorities about the problem. You are not allowed to carry pepper spray in school but, you are talking about the walk home. Why haven't your parents called the police since the dogs bit you? Have you told them about this? Have these dogs had all their shots? You could be reporting this at the very least.

Well you could quit yelling at them.. Why don't you leave so that you are walking with others??
Dogs know when you are scared.. You set yourself up to be a victim when you wander around looking like you are afraid.. Head up, shoulders back, quit yelling and eye balling the dogs and walk home like you know what you are doing

Pepper and OC sprays are not instant, it takes a few to kick in so no those would not be good choices and there are the few that it does not work on. Call an adult to pick you up or maybe they can meet you half way?
And actually yes I have been hit with it, and I am among the few that it does not work on. Have you ever used it? I suspect not otherwise you would know it takes a few to kick in and would not be questioning it.

Pepper spray is unfortunately not allowed in most schools. Your best bet is going to be staying far away from any dogs along your route. Cross the street if you have to. If there are dogs along your route that aren't normally fenced in or chained up, have a teacher or a parent contact animal control.

1. don't yell at dogs it is a sign of aggression
2. placing your hand over a dogs head(patting) is a sign of dominance and wont be tolerated by a dominant dog. always pat under the chin.
3. eye contact is a challenge to the dog

How about asking your parents to help you talk to the dog owners and tell them of your dilemma. Maybe the owners can help you get to know their dogs so you don't have to be afraid of them. Or maybe they can bring them inside during the time you walk by if getting to know the dpgs is not possible.
