I got out of the Navy with a re-4 code. I cant rejoin the armed forces, exept the national guard. If I complete 4 years in the guard and get a different re entry code when im discharged, can I get back in the Navy then.

maybe, but probably not. the Navy accepts very few PS vets right now, and is not hurting for recruits as it is.
your MOS would have to translate directly to a CREO 1 Rating.

You wouldn't have gotten just an RE-4, there would be some letters next to it. Those are the code that explains WHY you got the RE-4 re-enlistment code. If those letters are bad enough, they won't care what you do in the Guard, and even the Guard might not take you. What letters are there? It would help answer your question.
For example, say you have a RE-4JRC, the JRC means that you failed rehab for drugs. Not even the National Guard will touch a junkie. Or maybe the code is HJB, that says you were discharged after a Court Martial. Again, the Navy doesn't want you back, no matter what.
For a complete list, try:

Even if you do apply for the Guard, expect a very up hill battle.

I was helping a few ppl early this year with RE-4 codes.
it is possible get a waiver for an RE4 code, depending on your separation code.
they were able to enlist in the national guard, having the same intention as you, they used the Try One option.
with the discharge code at the end of that contract, if you still can't get into the USMC / USN side of the house, you'' be able to get into the Army / AF side

That's definitely a recruiter question.
I assume that you are talking about the US Army National Guard. If so, I don't know who told you that you could enlist with a RE Code 4, since according to AR 601-210, you can't. I would ask to see, in writing, where it says you can enlist. IF, however, you can enlist in the NG, you do your time, and get out, you will receive a new DD Fm 214 and you should be good to go.

NOPE. you're toast. no, you're an entire LOAF of TOAST. the only way this might happen for you would be if the protection stress board of corrections reviewed your case, and upgraded your discharge. yet upgrading your discharge does not unavoidably improve your reenlistment code! the reenlistment code has the excuses why you have been discharged. getting the BOC to make a metamorphosis to the two is very a trick to end in spite of everything. it may desire to be less difficult to pull flora out of your rear end. requests for variations could desire to be made interior of a definite length of time, etc, and with maximum of qualified applicants that don't choose human beings to bounce by hoops for them, i visit flow out on a limb right here and say you have no longer have been given any threat!
