It's definitely a sign of an ego problem.

Good question. Personally, I think the need to be validated by supplicants is an indication of low self-esteem. If there was a God, I don't think He'd be that much of a knob. I honestly believe that all this worship business was the church's and mosque's and synagogue's way of keeping the masses regularly committed to showing up and giving their money away.

Would YOU want to worship somebody else's concept of a whiny deity who stamps his feet and pouts if his humans don't sing loud enough and leave offerings? BS, if you ask me.

Because true love needs to prove that it's worthy or the reciprocation looses its value.

I think that the key here is to understand what the word worship means. Some dictionaries define it as The reverent love and devotion accorded to God. Prayers or other religious forms by which this love is expressed. To honor and love fully.

This is what God wants from us...to be loved!

There is an answer that I gave to another question but the message is the same. I hope that it makes things a little clearer.

"For the Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost."
Luke 19:10

Yeshua's (Jesus') mision was to teach the Ways of His Father. His mission was to teach us how to live. His mission was to spread His love for us and prove His Father's love for us. His mission was to fulfill the prophesies. His mission was to "save what was lost"--us. Jesus came for us! Thank you Jesus for doing His will!

As for John 19:30 Jesus said, "It is finished"
What He meant by this is that all the prophesies had been fulfilled up to and including His death. His pupose had been surved and God's will for Him completed. He bowed His head and gave up His spirit and .......it was finished!

What greater sign of love could there be in existance than to create something out of pure love and resemblance to one's own image.....give the gift of free will in the hope that the love given will be reciprocated not only for one's personal pleasure, but also for the good of the creation. Watch while the creation goes astray and betrays the love of the One who created it. The Creator cannot bear to standby and watch the beloved creation separate itself, thereby being lost forever--forever alone in depair. The creator extends His hand and sends a part of Himself amongst the creation to show the way back to the Creator's love. This part of Himself sent, rectifies the wrong path and gives the option --once again--to the creation to be one with the Creator. In order to do so a sacrifice must be made---

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life John 3:16

After all of this...can we ot put our beloved pride on the side and day THANK YOU LORD! I LOVE YOU LORD!

This is worship...what we are called to do...it's what we were created for.

May all be blessed by His message, that they may in turn bless Him

He likes it. Plain and simple.

If you had a child and went to Open House at school, and your child told the whole class that you were cool and loved you, how would you feel? A little teary eyed? I suppose I would too.
