The "secret language of suggestion" of this world is the language of deceit - saying not what it means - but what it would "like" you to believe.
Therefore lies and evil grow "fat" upon our self-deceit and our unwillingness to face reality; they draw their strength from our folly which we cannot see. The Truth would cut away the folly . Flattery, lies and slyness are needed to flatter us into upholding our pretenses and "false virtues"-to which we blindly cling in order to escape the "shame" of the Truth which we cannot bear.
Will there be a day when the reverse is true ?

The way I see it, the world is set up to accept a lie. They will believe anything but the Gospel. Just as Jesus said. They hate him, and they hate us.

You're absolutely right. I'm astounded at the way in which anti-gay Christians try to normalize and justify homophobia. Homophobia is suddenly lauded as a virtue and an example of loving behavior! Can you believe that?? Clearly, the harm it produces is in direct violation of Christ's commandment to treat others as we want to be treated. Therefore, it's obviously sinful and immoral. Yet so many are blinded by this sin and grip to it so tightly that they refuse to listen to the truth.

The worst part is when those promoting homophobia won't even take responsibility for the harm they cause. A gentleman posed a question on here Friday about how anti-gay Fundamentalists have robbed him of his religion. Instead of admitting that they turn thousands and thousands of gay people away from God with their unkind, unloving and cruel actions and words, without skipping a beat, the anti-gay Christians blamed it on God! Can you imagine? It's not there fault, it's all God's fault and/or the fault of the guy asking the question! When the anti-gay crowd can't even take responsibility for their own words, deeds and harm they cause, this shows how they are so totally controlled by their sin of homophobia that they have eyes which cannot see and ears which cannot hear.

this is not a question at all, but a rant. additionally it is phrased in such a way that I (and I suspect, most others) have no clue as to what you are getting at. you spell "truth" with a capital T, so i imagine you are referring to some "holy truth"; this is not only a contradiction in terms, but (if and only if I am right about the religion deal) constitutes proof that you have a different definition of the word than the dictionary does

EDIT- one look at your profile clears the matter up-you most likely get your "truths" from books that you consider magical and holy; whats it like to play tennis without the net?

From your profile:
"If I could live forever and could "outwardly" prove this to you, I would thereby thwart your ability to achieve purposeful life. That is why men of true wisdom conceal their "knowledge" - for the "proof" destroys "Faith"
If you had faith inside of you, you would not need proof
"Blessed are those who believe, yet have not seen"
To men of inward revelation and love, no proof is necessary. Proof is the result of faith, faith is not the result of proof. This is the mathematics of Wisdom"

"mathematics of wisdom" indeed- sounds more like blind belief in the unknowable, and your smugness is reprehensible. you misuse these terms in such a way as to render them meaningless, all the while acting superior; in fact what you are really doing is reveling in your own ignorance and encouraging it in others

enjoy your unfounded self righteousness; when the worms come we all are in the same boat. In the mean time, tighten up your communication skills- based on most of the answers, many people have no clue what you are talking about

besides- shouldnt you be "concealing your wisdom"?

cheers.

I find that the number of questions regarding R&S as a category, and questions making reference about his section as a whole have increased.

I also find that philosophies regarding the nature of the mind and other facets of human nature seem somewhat out of place in R&S.

On a less irrelevant note, most conservatives think CNN and Fox news never lie to them, Bill O' Reilly is seemingly the patriarchal conservative hero of familyness, and plays a large part of the fairytale that these people live in.

the easy reality is we are all sinners in want of a courting with the real God. to try this we could desire to recognize the reality; his notice. We, as Christians, are intimidated (even immobilized) by the options of others and the Lie that has replace into "appropriate" is many lies. Creationism, reliable works to get to heaven, "Baptized! now i can do as I please". it incredibly is "offensive" to God i'm constructive! As Christians we could desire to continuously unfold the reality no count how "offensive" it incredibly is to others. The lie could be greater "appropriate", yet we are meant to tell what Jesus has performed in our lives in accordance to the Bible.

That's why so many people are bullshlt artists. That's why so many people are close-minded. That's why there's so much pain and confusion in this world.
However, you can do something about it. Don't perpetuate the problem. Be honest. At all costs. Life is hard enough, without confusing yourself and those around you. Thing is, people don't usually appreciate honesty. They'll tell you they do but...it's a rare person who can. BE it anyway.

Some people are far too easy to offend.

A hint: If you're easily offended stay away from anything that involves a discussion of religion.

You seem to be looking for 'ultimate' answers, but then ask whether there will be a 'day' when something is true.

Ultimate answers my friend do not have 'days of truth'. Ultimate answers are infinite and thus always true.
