Balance, coordination, increased flexibility are three things that immediately come to mind. I have had a number of students including athletes in other sports, weight lifters, as well as just the everyday housewifes or office workers join for the purpose of increasing their level of fitness in those areas. Obviously there are also the added benefits of learning some self-defense while at the same time doing something to work out other than the more traditional things that many people do but some have become bored with.
The most important aspects though are the mental ones-especially for younger children and teens. A good program in either of these two arts will develop self-confidence and self-esteem as well as self-discipline. It can also help adults get stronger in these areas as well if they did not develop these traits as they were growing up. These three things empower anyone to much more readily handle difficult problems more easily and for them to reach their full potential in life.

Yes her weight looks like 150 or so NO? (thats my weight even though Im not a female) Ill tell you what to expect from Tae Kwon Do nevertheless is that there are stretching and what not then there are forms to follow as a workout like a military (Korean military) which there is different basic kicks and punches to learn too Yet some of the Tae Kwon Do doesnt really amount to modern day (rather is great for workout) in that there is rarely a movie star ending jumping roundhouse kick that will work before the opponent gets a take down

They can multiply your awesomeness level no matter how awesome you think you already are. Say you were a rock star with 800 million pesos in the bank and 10 wives at the mansion and 12 published novels. That would give you about 500 kilomusashis of awesomeness. If you add a black belt in kyokushin to the mix, your awesomeness level would be at least double that.
