Win what? Your question is very vague.

The U.S.A. did not lose any of the Major Battles in Vietnam. The U.S.A. did not lose the Vietnam War. Johnson and McNamara had such poor leadership skills and were spineless. They didn't conduct the war like a war should be. You fight a war to win or you don't fight it.

The way the Vietnam War was fought made it seem like the war was prolonged just to enrich the weapons manufacturers.

We were doing stupid things like bombing jungle trails instead of North Vietnam. We had our men walk around the jungle until they got ambushed then had them do it again the next day.

If we fought it like a real war we would have had 1,000,000 combat troops fighting on the ground.

Targets in North Vietnam were put off limits and weren't allowed to be bombed. All the time North Vietnam with Russia's help was building up their defense systems.

When the U.S.A. ended Operation Linebacker and Linebacker II North Vietnam was just about destroyed in one months time and we were just getting started. If we would have fought the war in the same sincere fashion it would have been over 10 years earlier.

People who think we lost the Vietnam War or are losing in Iraq don't understand the true military power the U.S.A. has.

If we didn't act so sissified North Vietnam and Iraq could have looked like Wal-Mart parking lots.

No, the American public does not blindly follow the government nor does it have the patience to withstand a long war. The general American public has a very short attention span and requires instant gratification. If the results are not achieved quick enough, the public wants to bail out just as quick.

No, and what would be the reason to go.? We don't have enough troops for Iraq!

With little ole' Iraq, the US can't even win and some of the military are on their 3rd tour. They, the administration, have been talking about reinstituting the draft!

No we would also have to go back to the days in which politicians and every civilian stayed the hell out of military operations. We would also need to do away with politcal correctness.

no !

A war far of its own borders can never be gained on the long term.

A country which fights for its independence always gains its freedom.

You are well placed for the knowledge...

Please do not go to war, such a terrible idea.
As a Vietnamese myself, I find it as peaceful and still recovering from war. On that note, who gives you right to decide to go off to war and kill people? Have us Vietnamese done wrong to others?
