It seems people post here mostly to take a position and brow beat others with it. Granted not all, but it seems that virtually no one here is spreading the good word or making truly compelling case for evolution without a supreme deity. It's all agrument, bickering and backbiting. Why do you spend so much time doing it?

This is the best thing i have ever come upon in my life its is free information and we can enlighten each other. Your looking at the wrong question and answer places remember the world is mostly idiots but the intelectual greats of the modern age are making use of this to unify the forces of nature into a defined source and renouce ethics as intangible but an effect scientificly on the world..heir go be it is in the work of being proven that negative energy emitted by brain waves actually deteriorates conciousness....give the few time...its always been the underdog you wanna root for.

It's just the way the Internet works. People are much more brazen anonymously, and behind a computer screen. I truly believe some of the rude people are venting. This is also a way to feel power. Not everyone is pure in their motives.

Yes, any forum (or whatever you want to call it) as big as this one is going to have some rude people trying to grab some pride back after working a humiliating day. God knows it sucks to be made to feel small, and it happens so often.

We have to love these people too, though it can get terribly tough; so many out there who just feel the need to lash out just because life is so ******* hard.

Wow, I'm really pessimistic.

I love you you rude people (You know who you are).

What is psychologically unhealthy is believing in something that is not true and constantly having to excuse it or force those who don't believe in it to prove your God when you can't even do it.

Imagine, for instance, that a man wants to believe that there is a diamond buried somewhere in his yard that is the size of a refrigerator. No doubt it would feel uncommonly good to believe this. Just imagine what would happen if he then followed the example of religious moderates and maintained this belief along pragmatic lines: When asked why he thinks that there is a diamond in his yard that is thousands of times larger than any yet discovered, he says things like, "“This belief gives my life meaning,"” or "“My family and I enjoy digging for it on Sundays,"” or "I wouldn't want to live in a universe where there wasn't a diamond buried in my backyard that is the size of a refrigerator."” Clearly these responses are inadequate. But they are worse than that. They are the responses of a madman or an idiot.

I try to answer serious and honest. Have you noticed how few serious or honest questions there are here. You will find very few Honest questions coming from the Christians and if you ask an honest question about religious practice or history they start a reporting campaign against you.
When you have 8 questions that were simple and genuine come back 4 hours later with violation notices you wonder. When you have ten that are over three weeks old come back with violation notices and ten points down each you get suspicious. Especially when it is just after you made your Q&A public again.
So if you are a religious troll expect some pretty short answers. If you actually ask honestly expect your religious fellow believers to kill your account.

I try to treat everybody with respect but I"m finding that older Christian men seem to be very bombastic. I don't know whether its because I'm a teen or what but that's the experience ive been getting on here. Maybe its a power and control thing for them, I don't know. Its not happening from older men of other religions, or atheists though.

Every now and then someone has a great idea or a novel way of looking at things.
Most of the time the questions and answers are just drivel and snivel.
Evolution and deities are just more snivel and drivel without lots of empirical evidence.

Christian morality isn't the best guidelines to live by when many can promote lies, hatred, bigotry and intolerance Look at the answers so far - one has mentioned adultery whilst another talks about STD's which are showing how they try to scare people whilst avoiding the question. I think that many people don't like sex and so they don't want others to be having sex/making love unless the christian moralistic control-freaks can say when repression doesn't help

You're just not on here all day so you can see the peaceful questions and answer....

Also, you live a life that is 80% happy...but when someone askes you some major things that happened in your life...you always go to the 20% bad first....

You only remember the bad things and easily forget about the good.

Because I enjoy it, when I argue with people I know personally they get angry. I don't understand people who don't enjoy a good argument.

Edit: I enjoy it because I'm on the up and up. I don't mind having people tell me I'm wrong, it's fine. I enjoy it, it means that I'm alive. I could be wrong, people get so angry and it's just a huge waste. All of their anger and emotion never accomplishes anymore that staying still and keeping the hairs on the head. What's the use in stressing. I'm just here to throw a log on the fire every once and a while.

Edit: Hey dip$hit, I killed Jesus. How dare you try to take that from me. I get the notoriety.
