A friend of mine is about to give birth and I'd like to make her some nice meals to put in the freezer for her 3 year old so she doesn't have to worry about cooking. Does anyone have any thing that would freeze well and good for a 3 year old? Thank you!

veggies can freeze good as does most fruit so you could make a really healthy meal with those. Find out what her 3 year old likes to eat and I bet you can freeze just about everything she eats. You can also buy frozen meals but they aren't as healthy because of preservatives so you would want to make sure the mom is ok with those first if you buy those.

DO NOT get the kid cusine or the Gerber toddler meals. The Kid Cusine is NOT healthy, and the Gerber Toddler meals are NASTY. Homemade stew, a shepard's pie (Ground beef, canned tomatoes, peas and carrots with tomato sauce and mashed potatoes on top is good. Cook the meat and throw in the other items and top with the potatoes and freeze. All she needs to do is bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.

There are tons of regular pre-packaged toddler meals in the baby aisle - all you need to do is microwave them.
