As salaaum 'alaikym warahmatullahi wabaraktu, my sister and my friend.
Insha'Allah, this one did not know that.
As many of the Hadiths had been a stumbling block for this one such news is welcomed.
This one also wonders what one is taught to do when one hadith (or several hadiths) contrdict one another on a particular issue, such as music, which in some instances the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, his family and his followers, supports and encourages while in other instances he decries and seems to forbid the same?
There are other examples which could be cited as well.
Thank you for the information you have provided.
Ma'a salaam.

I think what she means to say is... there is some weak hadith ( prophetic ways and sayings of the prophet Muhammed SAW and his family, friends, companions and those who follow him inshAllah tahalal may Allah SWT be pleased with Allah their souls) But we say Hadith as you can see why now the Arabic text expands and some of the sayings came from just ordinary people that where not verified so these hadith proven in Mecca to be false. She is asking how many of you know some of these hadiths are now proven wrong! You have to go to Sources Imams and so on to get the truth about such windows in the past.. Al hamdoullah we even have 1 of them for Ayisha R.a. was reported to mention Hadith from the Prophet SAW in 1/2 the book! So we have to dig to get truth. Salam Alaikum inshAllah that helps ameen.

I read this on a Muslim website.
I'm trying to read the Quran, so I've been exploring various sites that feature the Quran and teaching on the Quran.
Actually, I'm finding it a little difficult.
I live by the Bible, but am interested in the Muslim faith because my son is in Iraq, and has made friends with Muslim believers there.

What do you do when the Koran contradicts itself?
The Koran also says the following:
[8.39] And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah; but if they desist, then surely Allah sees what they do.
[9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.
These two verses clearly encourage war against all non-Muslims until Islam has world domination and everyone else is subject to it.
Are you unaware of the teachings of your holy scriptures or do you deliberately choose to ignore them?

Why is this question being directed at non-Muslims? The issue of obeying a hadith doesn't really concern us. Why don't you raise the question to Muslims? It might do more good.

I did...
Question: Are Muslims who do not follow the Hadith (at all) looked down upon in Muslim communities? I mean, is it a sort of rebellious thing to do, or is it common? Is it accepted?

I wonder if I might ask you to further define "hadith," as I am not familiar with this term. Thank you for your informative posts.
