I've been there and done that. I had a progressively worse persistent cough for two years. At first it wasn't a problem, then it started to sound like someone was breaking into the house when I coughed. In the end, I finally went to my doctor and he treated me. It turned out that I had sinusitis, asthma, and later I found-out that I have anemia also. All three can cause a terrible cough. It's under control now that I'm being treated. However, I am now living with asthma and anemia for possibly the rest of my life (I'm 24).
Your mom really needs to see a doctor quickly, in my opinion. When someone is coughing so hard that they throw-up, that's a sign of asthma that's out of control and severe. People die from asthma. This is something that I wouldn't take a chance with.
Since it's probably past doctor's office time, the ER is an option or a walk-in clinic. I would see if there's a walk-in clinic open first. If you have after-hours doctor coverage from your doctor's office, you might be able to get an emergency appointment. I think that your mom's symptoms are very serious and merit prompt attention. Maybe not tonight, but tomorrow morning at the latest.

i does no longer say which you're a foul mom...i could say which you're probably a accepted time mom :) Co-sound asleep is a private decision. some human beings swear via it, others completely disagree w/ it. i'm between those that disagrees w/ it, i could be too in contact w/ the negative aspects of suffocation. Co-sound asleep could nicely be risky. until eventually babies learn how to talk, they in lots of situations cry. start up coaching your toddler sign language. I taught Noah "milk" and "hungry" whilst he became approximately 7mths. It took some months for him to comprehend yet now he shall we me understand if he's hungry or thirsty. back, we selection on the feeding too. I by no ability did call for feeding, does it seem such as you're feeding him for all time? I did a time table...each 3-4 hours he ate. This worked splendidly for us and that i could plan my day. So, each physique is distinctive. Do what you're comfortable with and purely "snicker" off the criticism of others. arise w/ some 'catchy' responses. purely say "i like him plenty, i prefer to hold him". Or "i purely won't be able to stand to pay attention him cry". and then pass approximately your employer. stable success.

she needs to get to a doctor. This could be from bronchitis or even lung cancer. Both would need medical treatment. Any cough more than a couple of weeks old needs to be seen by a doctor.

Does she know what is triggering her coughs? Are there any other symptoms with the cough?
I think FIRST and FOREMOST, the toxins should be removed from the house...Cleaning supplies, laundry detergents, shower items, and get her using completely safe non-toxic products.
When you have all those items in your house, you are setting yourself up for an unbelievably long list of health hazards.

SHE might not think it's "serious" - but for the sake of those who love her (like yourself), I think she needs to see a Doctor. And SOON. It could be nothing worse than a bad case of chronic Bronchitis- but even THAT can grow into something much worse if she doesn't have it checked out. URGE her to GO, & make SURE she DOES...-because she's asking for "trouble" for everyone she cares for- if she doesn't. :(

Please see that your mom goes to a dr. ASAP. Coughs mean many things but one that goes on for that long and is now causing her to throw up needs to be investigated.
I hope all is well for her.
