Some men do use women. I know guys that more-or-less use women for sex. However, I know guys who don't and want a relationship for companionship as the primary reason.
To stereotype *everyone* in a group based on a sample is entirely wrong and flawed. It might be the group of people your boyfriend happen to be like he described. However, he's not qualified to talk about all men. Then again, nor am I.
All I can say is just keep your eyes open. There will be some guys that are the stereotype your boyfriend described. Spending time with people though should eventually show their true motives.

Your boyfriend is immature. He's just that a boy.
If you're in school still, you'll have to put up with boys a while longer. But don't worry. Once you are a young woman and start dating men, you'll see that males mature. At 25, the ones still acting like that are boys. The rest have become men and realize that women are individuals and have a lot to offer personally beyond money, sex, etc..
If you are both adults, I'd say go find a boyfriend who isn't a boy.

not all guys and the only guys that have a "code" are the idiots that treat ladies badly ---- the problem is that the guys that treat ladies well are usually taken or a lot older or both --- best wishes
