It's man's way of saying, "You need to be forgiven by God, and I just happen to be selling God, so give me money and you'll get your forgiveness."
That's how these evangelists prey upon the gullible---they pray, and prey.

OK so God ( As a parent figure ) said do not eat of this fruit or you will surely Die! and lo and behold Satin ( another Parent figure ) said you can eat this fruit. Well Adam and Eve ( As Innocent Children ) Eat the fruit. ANY child would do the same!!!
Now God in his Holy and Supposedly righteous anger not only punishes Adam and Eve but holds responsible for all eternity every Child born !!!
So even if what Adam and Eve did was a sin...What kind of God would punish those that were not even born and had nothing to do with the original transgression!!!

i don't think that that's the meaning of God and all the preachers when they keep saying 'original sin', although it gets to be annoying. God doesn't hold a grudge, if he were then he should have been torturing us real good. it's just one way of reminding us that God doesn't forget but is willing to, if we change our ways by remembering what happened when the 'original sin' was conceived. . =)

Even Balaam's aaassss knew when to be quiet, my dear.
Again, you are trying to explain (or understand) God from a human's perspective, and you cannot. God is GOD. God is INFINITE. God does not hold a grudge, because holding a grudge means not being able to forgive. God not only forgives, but FORGETS our sins... as if we NEVER EVEN DID THEM... not a SINGLE ONE... ALL of them are FORGOTTEN. God forgives, therefore He cannot hold a grudge.
If anything, it is WE who cannot forgive that sin... we who hold on to that original "grudge" we (Adam) had. We are, by our "original" nature, inclined to be sinful...
again... I interject the difference between EVIL/BAD and SINFUL.
Our human nature, our "normal," original, the one we're born with, nature is more inclined ... when given a moral choice... to lean towards making the wrong choice. It's kind of like making a wrong turn when driving to your aunt's house. It's not an EVIL choice you made, just the wrong one.
When we choose to believe in God/Jesus, our inner nature... our spiritual nature... is changed...it is "born again"... the "right" is now switched ON and the "wrong" is now switched OFF. However, we still do struggle with our choices.. our moral "turns in the road" so to speak. But when our "original sinful" nature is "OFF," and we now have a personal relationship with our Lord, and know Him and of His love and will... we are more apt to make the "right" turn towards our aunt's house more often than not....and if we do make the "wrong" turn... we also know that we are forgiven, and we can make that "course correction" and get back on track... over the river and through the woods... whatever!!
Now... will Balaam's mule please continue down the yellow brick road?

Imagine - a father has a pair of young, innocent and naive children. He tells them not to stick their fingers in the light socket or they will die. They have no concept of electricity or death so it goes over their heads, a bit.
One day the father goes for a walk. He never got around to putting safety plugs in the unused outlets. His kids play with the outlets and get shocked (but don't die). The father comes home and is very upset and kicks the kids out of the house, punishes them, and punishes all their descendents.
Does that sound like "Father of the Year" material to you ?

No.
Original sin is the perfect example of the unintended but very real consequences of man's rebelliousness and stupidity.

Original sin is the result of Adam and Eve's folly. It's not God's fault they didn't listen to Him.
