Free one's mind from all thoughts. Not let a single thought pass in the mind for a single instant. In an advanced stage in spirituality, this is indeed possible but not for an ordinary human being!!!!!

Control in life is beyond one's reach. We as humans think we have "control" but in reality, just like with the flood Katrina, things happen. I am 56 and I was extremely successful and popular and had a terrific life until I married the wrong person at age 23. Oops and then an ugly marriage and two small children and this brought on health problems and I think from my childhood I thought I could handle anything since I had had so much success, but so much comes at you, as my generation says "it is Murphy's law". I think when young, we think life is going to get easier when we get a better job, a nice relationship, but the reality is that most people don't tell you the truth and there is no Hallmark family or anything except cards. I still love life passionately, but the trials that arrive in our lives just happen like Katrina. This is what I mean by not having control of life, beyond our reach. But that is why I have God, without Him, I don't know where I'd be as life has had some really really hard ball curves, but I'm still smiling. And I think the young folk today have it hard because everyone is trying to suck your money out of your wallet. It wasn't always this way so set your goals on things that last like good friends and loving nature and rely on those and God if you choose.
