Green tea can be beneficial in many different ways. It was even used by the Ancient Chinese for medicinal purposes.
The anti-oxidants that green tea contains, EGCG, are very powerful, and have a variety of different health benefits attached to them. They can prevent many different types of cancer, they boost oral health, they can speed up metabolism, help with the breakdown of glucose, and so on.

It helps prevent bad breath, believe it or not. Basically green tea is tea which has not been roasted like normal black tea. Instead, the tea leaves are dried then rolled into balls, and sometimes known as gunpowder. Asian grocery shops sell it for around £2.50 for 125 grams.
If you blend one part green tea with 10 parts black tea like Assam or Ceylon, it gives a smoother taste to the tea. It is even better brewed using water from a filter jug. Use loose leaf tea in a teapot, not tea bags. You could add a pinch of green tea every time you make a cup of tea.

Green tea is full of antioxidants that help to remove free radicals from the body. Free radicals are known to produce carcinogens [cancer]. In other words green tea improves your body's immune system.
It is also a very relaxing drink. I became fond of it when we had a drinks break whilst doing Tai Chi.
There are other benefits listed via the link below.
