From nascar.com.........
Stewart used a curse word after winning the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard and was fined $25,000 and 25 driver points. However, NASCAR spokesman Kerry Tharp said Harvick will not be penalized for using the word "a**" on live television.
"It doesn't violate FCC [Federal Communications Commission] regulations," Tharp said.
And Tharp doesn't expect any penalties to come from the shoving match between the two drivers either.

I agree, I don't think they should be penalized neither. They were both just mad at the time, and Harvick word doesn't amount to Stewart B.S. word he used a couple weeks ago.

They should not be penalized, Kevin was unaware of what really happened that it was not Juanpablo's fault but truex's, and "a*s*s" is too commonplace nowadays but no longer as unacceptable as s.h.i.t is, and though crude not as offensive to some people.
Too bad that poor Jeff Burton had to get caught up in that crap though.

This incident was one of the best stories of the race. This is what makes Nascar exciting. Neither one hit the other, just a little shoving and yelling. Almost every play in football has that much action after the play is over. No need for any fines or punishment unless they want to hit Truex for rough driving.
I like both drivers, they both have lots of passion for winning. Am I the only one or did anyone else think Juan Pablo looked a bit pudgy in his fire suit? That shocked me more than the pushing.

I agree that they don't need to be penalized, but I don't think that Stewart or JR should have been either. I do think that this incident was caused by JPM trying to block a far faster car. He said it himself that he was very slow on restarts, Truex did what was right by dumping him, it is just too bad for Kevin and Jeff. JPM has wrecked someone in EVERY race this year, I think he needs a good old fashioned Southern A** Whoop-in. But to be consistent JPM was shoving Harvick and Harvick did say a** ( which is the same as BS) so I think that NASCAR will fine them 25 points and $25k

I really don't think the fight was detrimental to Nascar - I thought it was kind of funny - showing how the boys can overreact. BUT, that being said, I don't think it would be fair to NOT penalize them, since Nascar Officials are being so tough on everyone else this season.

This would make some sense to me. A** isn't one of the FCC's 7 dirty words that cant be used, but sh** is. I expected some penalties or fines for the pushing match but the word used shouldnt be if Nascar follows its own rules.

I wonder why they should not be fined and everyone else that does this type of thing is fined. They got out of their cars during a race and started shoving each other. Other drivers are fined for those actions.

basically for the rationalization you reported. NASCAR has gotten uncontrolled with there fining drivers. those issues is happening top on the warmth of the 2d whilst that's not ordinary to regulate emotions. I choose NASCAR could desire to get there heads out of there a## and get returned to fundamentals of what made this sport so super and not what each and every of the senseless followers, companies and television reps think of that's going to be right this moment. they're taking plenty faraway from what grow to be as quickly as a brilliant sport. right this moment with each and every of the followers they have they could actual be in order that surprising that be conscious could desire to no longer describe yet in stead that's not something extra advantageous than a vacationing circus of dare devil stars who could desire to observe there P's and Q's. it particularly is a shame that they carry about the carnival to cities and the ruling area of that's not what the gang needs yet you nevertheless flow see it and watch it. till that variations then why could desire to they. i might decide to work out and particularly handle that a guy or woman knew that somebody from NASCAR actual examine that a fan could desire to place there confrontation with them. i for my area have wrote to sponsor's numerous time complaining approximately this or that yet whilst basically one guy or woman in line with thousand voices there opinion what sturdy will that do. So I actual have in basic terms grow to be a fan who watches the previous super tracks and specially this area of the Mississippi.

A small slap on the wrist on Kevin Harvick if anybody, since he was the one that looked like was trying to start something with Montoya, but other than that, to quote Officer Barbrady from South Park.
"Nothing to see here, move along!"
