Only 25 % supported the American Revolution and we won. This isn't like Vietnam where America let liberal traitors like Kerry and Fonda force us to quit. This time we mean it, and will keep fighting islamofascists no matter where they are. Go read the koran and you will see that they want you dead. Be glad your freedom is being protected. Wake up from the dream world you live in and smell the stinking jihad.

The War should have never taken place to begin with, inept intelligence reporting about Iraq and its weapons of mass destruction were greatly exaggerated. Now with Political and Military egos at stake (Military I mean the upper brass) America will be in Iraq for quite some time. The cost is huge to the American tax payer, mainly the middle class and will be a burden on future generations. Before the Bush Administration decided to go into Iraq they should have all watched the movie "Lawrence of Arabia". Since the time that Thomas E. Lawrence was there little has changed in the Country of Iraq. Although it is nice to have a bully like Saddam Hussein out of the picture, I believe it could have been done a better way.

Because it is a skewed poll. If 70 % of the people are against the Iraq war how come the congress cannot get enough votes to stop the war? How come Cindy Shehan is running against Nancy Pelosi for congress.

Because neither the Democrats or Republicans have a decent exit strategy.

I'm not so sure about 08. You'll have a hard time electing the Democrats when they don't offer a better solution.

Read the Constitution. It's not the call of the American people. It's actually the call of Congress, but they've abdicated the authority to the President.

Because "national security" comes "first," NOT the opinions of those who know nothing about it, of which ARE the majority of the American public. It is WHY we "elect" people QUALIFIED to run the government FOR us. To make decisions about matters FEW of us are aware NEED to be MADE. In any war, there will always be those who oppose it, but then it's very IRONIC that they forget they have this FREEDOM because someone else keeps the tyrants from sticking a bomb up their butt. Instead of "opposition" they should have "gratitude" for those who lay down their lives for us, AND our SAFETY....

Iraq can't gain control of it's own country, so we are forced to "occupy" the country until they stop bombing and killing themselves. Hopefully Iraq will be able to govern itself within the near future.

And just where did this "70%" number come from? I'd like to see some sort of facts to back up your claim of 70%

To answer your question and ignore your jab.... 70% of Americans are pacifist cowards or just misinformed as to what is really going on in Iraq, like maybe we are actually doing some good. But far be it from the press to show any hint of good that could be happening over there.
