Probably a.
Look at it this way: If god doe exist and follows the bible literally, that means god is a misogynistic rampaging murderous tyrant who sentences children to death (Exodus) and kills homosexuals and adulterers (Leviticus). Read the Bible sometime, a straight-up translation without the soft commentary on the side from contemporary appeasers.
Not giving a damn about our species wouldn't be a first for this ancient deity. It looks darned nice compared to the Bible.
But a. would be different. It means that all of the darker parts of the Bible are unjustifiable because no deity exists. Furthermore, it means these folks would have to give meaning to their own lives, instead of stressing obedience. It would change the whole social fabric of this group.

If God did not exist then neither would the Christian's faith and there would be no Christian. Simply looking at the anatomy and functioning of the eye alone convinces me that we are no mistake. It took a lot more than evolution to make this.

If God doesn't exist then no harm done right? You live a righteous life and then cease to exist. You get the benefits of living well; long life, good relationships, joy and the comfort of faith. But you do not get an afterlife. Ok, sad, short, but bearable.
On the other hand a god that created and has no caring, no love, no plan for his creation except destruction. That is hell itself.
Fortunately for us Christians, and for the entire world really God not only exists, but cares passionately for his creation. So much so that gave himself as a sacrifice that all might come to a relationship with him. So we might have not only the benefits of faith here under the sun, but eternal life and joy forever.
Shalom

None of the above. God does exist and God cares about us. We ourselves [with the help of Satan] are our own worst enemy.

That God does exist but doesn't care. If there is not caring there is no purpose to life.

Neither of these is unbearable for a Christian because we'd never believe A or B. That's called faith.

As a christian it would be more devastating to learn that God did not exist, but being that I know that he does I am safe and secure in that ..

Why do Atheists care so much about us? I mean they are so determined to prove that god doesn't exist and yet we are always going to know that he does. we will believe what we want to believe and we could care less what you believe. you opinions are never going to change and neither are ours. get over it.....and I would appreciate it if you would quit asking stupid questions
and you say you don't care about christians and our beliefs? then why are most of your questions about cristians and our beliefs?
