It varies from person to person. I've heard a lot of people say that their piercngs didn't hurt. My navel piercing hurt, and that's in comparison to 15 other piercings.

The months after getting pierced can be painful. You can experience getting the piercing knocked around and getting infected. I'm pretty good with all of my other piercings, but my navel piercing has been especially painful with getting accidentally hit.

You may also end up getting a growth of scar tissue in the form of a bump right next to the piercing from it getting hit so much. This happened with me, and taking care of the bump can actually be painful with excessive soaks making my skin feel raw.

Overall, for me personally my navel piercing has been a pretty miserable experience. I can't even get the jewelry out because the piercer screwed the ball on WAY too tightly, so whenever I use real force to try to unscrew the ball, my piercing hurts.

LMAO! To the girl who said they won't pierce if you're too skinny, that's damn ridiculous.
Er...well, I have both the top and bottom of my belly pierced. The top one didn't hurt any more than any of my other piercings did (have tongue, did have my eyebrow, but took that one out). However the bottom piercing (because the skin is more taught) hurt like a mofo. I actually yelled at the lady who was piercing me. I have 2 tattoos as well, and I'm telling you, that piercing hurt so, sooo much more. hahah.
So yeah go for it.
You have other piercings, it probably won't hurt any more than those did.
=D

i had my belly button done by my cousin, shes a theatre nurse and she bought over some anethetic and that needle hurt but it was great cause i couldnt feel a thing after wards or for the rest of day around that area. - try buying an emla patch - in aus we can get from the doctor for $7 - that is an anesthetic patch and will numb the area, if your worried about the pain

No...I had to ask if she had did it b/c i didnt feel it.

It also depends on how small you are. They wont do it on the top if youre too skinny and i dont know how it feels on the bottom.

Just be calm and keep it clean, avoid pulling and yanking it, and you should be fine
