First, its not right to judge him. Second because he was willing to show the people how he wants them to turn to Christ.

INTELLIGENT ANSWER FOR YOU:
1. Jesus DID have to die for our sins. In the Old Testament, salvation was through the law (the ten commandments), but man made it evident that he could not keep the law. As hard as man might try, he is imperfect, and not capable of being sinless. Jesus came to this earth and DID NOT SIN because He was the son of God, who is incapable of sin. Jesus then died and actually WENT TO HELL (did you know that?) for three days. **Jesus went to hell but had never sinned** this is the key!

Sin is the absence of God. The only punishment for sin is death. It STILL is. But because Jesus lived sinless and died anyway, then went to Hell, then rose from the dead, He was able to receive the burden of our sins.

2. Your question: Could our sins not be forgiven without Jesus dying a dreadful death? YES. If man could live a sin-free life, but he has shown time and time again that he cannot.

3. Your question: Why did He make His son go through all that? Don't forget that Jesus CHOSE to die on the cross. He decided for himself because He knew that was the only way, God told him.

If you need more of an answer than this, you need to seek Him. Part of faith is believing that God has a plan for you and knows better for you than you do. Some answers you have to find on your own by searching......

Before Jesus died for our sins our sins were washed away
through animal sacrifice and it was not so easy to perform. Many animals had to be sacrificed to carry out the repentance process. So think of the animals that didn't have to die after Jesus's death on the Cross. Jesus paid the ultimate price but reins supreme sitting at the right hand of the Father God in heaven. Jesus was able to obtain the keys to death, hell and the grave. He won the ultimate victory. Now it is much easier to ask for forgiveness of our sins through the repentance with the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ
on the cross of Calvary. We just ask Jesus to forgive us of
our sins and come into our hearts and help us to live a
Christian life pleasing to God.

No, even "God" could not just "wipe away" sins without a propitiatory sacrifice. Simple because 1 + 1 always equals 2. Meaning that if someone did something, then something else needed to be done to remove it. So, since the sin was put there, there would need to be an "equal sacrifice" to recompense or pay-back for the sin. In this case, what was lost was perfect human life, so what was needed to pay it back and EQUAL what was lost was ANOTHER PERFECT HUMAN LIFE, Christ Jesus'.

That's why, at 33.5 years old, he died on Passover Nite. The VERY NITE when the Jews killed "the perfect Lamb of God" and spread its blood over their doorstep for-over 1,300 years, since coming out of Egypt. Christ was the LAST LAMB to ever be slaughtered on Passover (at least for the Christians). So, for the rest of history, his sacrifice was to replace Adam's lost perfection. Now, one day in the future, it will be like he told the Thief on the Cross, when he said, "today, I tell you, you will be with me in Paradise." Paradise was on Earth, not Heaven, and it will be again. Where there will be no more aging, until in Rev. 18, it says Satan will return after his 1,000 years in the Pit, for his final battle.

You are right. God can do anything he wants to do. He sacrificed his only Son in the most horrible way to show us just how much he loved us. Enough to give his only son for our sins and our salvation. Some people try to make this so hard and analyze it to death. Don't do this, just believe and trust. The cross was all about the love of God for you and me and the whole world. I think that if His death had not been a really dramatic thing a lot of people might not have paid much attention to it.

I can forgive someone without requiring that anyone die, not even an insect, so why can't God? This Yahweh that so many people adore seems like a bloodthirsty, vicious sort of god. Would a truly loving parent require that their own child die in a gruesome way just so they can forgive other people? Why not simply forgive them? Why is it that, in the OT, there are scriptures in which God says that all the Israelites have to do is turn from their sins and he will forgive them? No mention is made of a human sacrifice being necessary for this, and Jesus hadn't come along yet to die for anybody's sins, yet God was willing to forgive them, anyway. Can't God make up his mind?

OK, here it goes... *takes a deep breath*
When God created heaven he created angels, one of the angels called lucifer rebeled, after rebelling, lucifer took control of the world through sin, (and before you ask why God let him, because if he never we wouldn't have free will to choose our own fate) therefore whenever somebody sinned it stopped them from being with God, so in the old testament people had to make sacrafices (e.g. cattle, crops, valuables) too show that they are sorry and take away the sin so they would be able to be with God once again. Its like if someone commits a crime they can pay bail to get out of it, well the sacrafices were the bail to get away from the devil and from sin.
But God loved the world too much too let this carry on, and so he sent down his earthly physical embodiment AKA his son, Jesus, too pay the price for everyone so anyone can be set free from sin by simply asking Jesus to forgive them and wash the sin away. (think of it like this, the bail thing I spoke about earlier, well Jesus paid for everyone to get out from the Devil)
He had to do it the long and hard way because otherwise we would not have a choice in it and then most people would of rebelled like Satan did.

I don't know.

Sometimes I thinks it's like the punishment of a child. If a child does something really wrong and all he gets is a stern talking to, chances are he'll do it again simply because there were no real consequences of his actions. Not that I'm advocating a beat down for a kid, but if the punishment was more severe maybe he'd think about it.

That's not to say good people do good to avoid the consequences. But thinking of the brutality suffered by Jesus on our behalf certainly lends to people wanting to do better.

Ok, maybe I'm not making much sense, but that's kinda my viewpoint.

1.all have sinned and are not good enough for Gods glory (romans 3:23) 2. As the scripture says; there is no one who does right, not even one.(romans 2:10) 3. When people sin, they earn what sin pays -death. But God gives us a free gift - life forever in Christ Jesus our Lord. (romans 6:23) 4. But God shows His great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners. 5. If you use your mouth to say, "Jesus is Lord," and if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved ( romans 10:9)
6. The scripture says, "anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Life is not supose to be fair and Life is not always filled with good people, God can forgive all without anything but it diden't change people in the beginging, I don't think it would've worked today. God gave His only son to die for us, so we can be set free from sin and hell, But that choice is ours and ours only!!! God WILL NOT!! force you to choose.

It's inevitable. Since he's the first living spirit that sets foot the physical realm, he works out the karma of the entire souls. He got persecuted and prosecuted as the finale before His(us) spirit could finally go back to the spiritual realm on permanent basis. How this death benefited us? All we have to do is to carry our own crosses(karma) and skipped the finale because at this point we too become the living spirit like Jesus, the one who did the finale for us. In the spiritual realm there is no us, you or me. Only I.

The belief is that Jesus willing died for man. That he begged god to forgive man as he died for their deeds and his death.

He actually did not have to die for our sins to be forgiven. But this was a symbolic gesture that all that believe in Jesus as Christ are saved. It is also believed that the sins that are referred to is original sin and that his ascent into heaven is what kept man around and not just smited by god.

So in one way he had to die for people to believe he is devine and that saved man on Earth, or you could say that his death only forgave original sin and that you still have to accept Jesus to be saved.
