Someone asked the question "Is it true that all beautiful women are crazy?" I answered " Sounds like pure sour grapes to me" Got a violation. How is that a violation? I must not understand something. The question sounds more like a violation to me. Insulting every beautiful woman seems rude to me.

I agree with you! You should not have gotten the violation. The question was the violation.

By reading your text, I'd have to agree with you on the question being 'improper'.

"Is it true that all beautiful women are crazy?" sounds to me like creating a stereotype here.

but about your violation:

"pure sour grapes" is a judging on a person, for which you have simply to less information to come to a conclusion. (and the answer is personally aimed at the asker)

although i have mixed feelings about the violation, since the asker 'started' it.

Giving you a violation is sour grapes. Someone couldn't take the truth.

I agree! I think it DOES sound like sour grapes. You're just telling them like it is. I think the question is open for answers that would be worse than the answer you gave. Hmmmm.
