I have a kitty, she's like 3 or 4 months old.
She doen't want to take her nails out, not even to defend herself. She has already been injured, but she won't defend herself. What can I do?

That is strange, first thing I would do is call a vet and ask their opinion, to make sure there is nothing wrong with kitty. Keep her indoors. If she will not use her claws she is at a much higher danger of being hurt if you let her out defensless. Buy a variety of kitty toys that you can use to interact with her. I seem to have very good luck with string-like toys, and those "cat dancer" toys~ a wand with real feathers on the end of it. Try to play to provoke her chase instincts, perhaps that will teach her to use her claws.

Good luck ^..^

The obvious thing is to not expose her to dangerous things. Keep her indoors and DON'T expect her to have to fight.
3 or 4 months old is just a kitten, they don't recognize danger. YOU as an owner have to make sure she's not put into a position of danger. It's ridiculous to expect kittens to know about life. Even grown cats don't recognize things we know are bad.

Your kitty is a very mild mannered cat. Not all cats fight, some are timid and yours needs your help to protect her. You should consider yourself very fortunate to have a sweet mild kitty like you have. Don't let your kitty get all beat up by other cats, keep her in and away from cats that fight.

Why does she have to protect her self at all?! Isn't she kept inside? She's just a baby...it is your job to protect her.

she is probably the runt of her litter. it isn't too bad but try not to let it outside if possible. i know vets are expensive and a pain to go to, but you can at least call your vet and they will probably tell you what to do or if it's serious they will recomend to bring it there.

welcome=]
