My girlfriend farts like a man, is it normal?

She farts loud, smelly, and alot. Its really gross but we have been together over a yr and I love her, but I dont like that and dont know what to do. Any ideas??

Get her some Beano or Gas X. But you know that it's better out than in. Eat yourself some pinto beans, hot dogs, pepsi, beer and anything with sorbitol in it and join in on all the fun. You know let 'er rip! Just really cut loose! By the way I am THE ALL AMERICAN!!!!

Have you talked to her about it? Is it something she can't avoid doing, or does she just enjoy being boorish?

If she can't help it, she should see a doctor about it. This is definitely not normal. First, it would be helpful if she made a food diary to try to discover if certain foods are causing the problem. When a certain food seems suspect, she should avoid it for a few days and see what happens. Sometimes it can be certain food combinations, so she should look at that, too.

If she is not interested in taking care of it, you'll need to really think about your future. Do you want to live with this the rest of your life? To know people are laughing at her--and you? And think of how it will affect the kids. Not to mention how hard it will be for her to hold a job. It may be a "small" thing, but it can have a huge impact.

Years ago, (and while it was a bad thing it was funny too) on Real People TV show they told of a wedding where both the bride and grooms parents and friends about 1,000 of them were in the church where they were getting married. When the priest said do you, etc., etc. to the bride she farted so loud everyone in the church heard it. She died from embarrassment. This was supposedly a true story. So don't worry about a woman farting like a man, just be thankful she doesn't drop dead from it.

Suggest a change in diet or try these pills called "Beano". They are sold over the counter. If Loud and smelly farts is her only problem she is a keeper. It could be a lot worse.

What are your farting habits? Do you let out small test farts and if they are smelly do you leave the room?

Every farts, simple as that. if u really love her then learn to look over her smelly flaws. She might not like something about you but.... You could either send her an annoynamous letter saying that she farts loudly and alot and if she could try to keep it more privet or confront her about it... but try to understand that she can't automatically stop.

Yeah maybe she's a tom boy. Everyone is different. Ask her nicely when she has to fart. Use a blanket or a pillow to hold the odor from escaping.

It's a completely natural, biological function. If you have problems with it, you can politely ask her to leave the room, or head to the bathroom if she needs to fart. And of course you would need to reciprocate if the urge strikes you as well. Otherwise, just deal with it.

Dude....everybody farts. There is no right or wrong way for people to fart. She may just be more comfortable with her flatulence than most girls. Yes, it seems like women let one go less often, but trust me, they can be just as bad as men.

I try not to fart in public but I do it in front of people who I feel comfortable with them. One of my male friend says that "girls fart silently and blame guys". But I don't do it and only say like "sorry I farted" or "can you smell it?" when I fart. I fart around my boyfriend and male friends all the time and they fart in front of me too (actually I fart more than them haha). Sometime we have the competitions of fart and I always beat them cuz I can fart louder and produce smellier one lol.
