Ok, talking with him more and flirting with him seems way easier than blurting it out. So I was wondering how many guys would actually ask out a girl who didn't upright say it or show it?

So put yourself in this situation. You have a girl in only one of your classes who is a year younger than you. She smiles at you and talks to you, but she has never told you that she likes you or showed it very well. Would you try and ask her out? Or, would you want to see more of an affection from her so that you know that she likes you?

If shes attractive id go up and talk to her. Eventually ask her on a date or something then see how that goes... And so on.

Compared to you, I am an old freak. But I've seen a lot of life. And the honest truth is that most guys are not very good at picking up subtle hints, or seeing subtle signs of a girl liking him. Go up to him after class and ask him a question about the class, or homework, or make a joke..."Boy, I blew that last test. How about you?" or " Do you find this class as boring as I do?" If he makes any response, then say something like, "I'm thirsty and going for a coke. Want to join me?" Hey, the worst that can happen is that he turns you down. But at least he will know that you are interested. And if he says, "I'v got to get to my next class, how about another time." You say, "I'm free after 3PM."

If a girl smiles at me and talks to me a lot and I like her, I would ask her out.

I'd want to see more affection. I would never risk misinterpreting genuine friendliness for subtle signs of affection.

I'd have to learn what made her smile and see if she attracts my attention, get to know eachother better and hopefully have something in common we can relate too, then..... i would begin to flirt and hopefully win her.
