No user of this forum, in my opinion, should raise provocative questions so as to elicit inflammatory answers from the believers in any one religion which is sacred to them.

Are we a community of people who use this forum to know one another better and respect their sentiments as well?Being a worldwide network, let us follow the community guidelines, where under the "DON'Ts" No.5 guideline says as follows:
(Don't) incite or advocate violence or harm against a person, groups of people, or animals.
And the term i used is 'alleged' provocation. So plz dont take it serious. Let us happy members of this Y!A community! LoL!

I'm sorry, but what makes people's beliefs immune?

If you saw a middle-aged man who rambled on and on about how Santa was real and you were all being duped or were angry at him or whatever, what would you do? What if some people who agreed with him decided to attack you physically because you don't believe? Hmm?

I'm not saying all people who hold religious beliefs are harmful, I'm saying that unquestioningly believing what people tell you is dangerous, regardless of the original message.

Is it unfortunate? No, because you're not forced to come here and answer the questions. If you are going to take offense at the questions or can't stand to have your religion questioned then go somewhere else. Yeah some of the questions here offend my beliefs, but I answer it collect my 2 points and continue about my day. If it's truly inappropriate then I report them and that's that.

I agree with your concept. It's the reality that doesn't work. Christians come to this site hundreds of times every day making statements intended to provoke.

When the shoe finds itself on the other foot, Christians make statements such as the one you've made, then put in five violation reports to Yahoo on the 'offending' questioners, or answerers.

Sweetness and light of your statement is admirable. The reality is less so.

Problem is it happens. And once people's 'Sacred Cows' there is a equal & opposite (??) reaction.

The selfish provocativors achieve their aims either by causing strife OR 'proving' that the group being attacked are imature/silly/

But people have the right to defend themselves - or defend those they support.

Would it not have been easier to say "people's" instead of believers? Or is it still ok to do to non believers, just not anyone else?

Even if we are not "believers," every person's views are an important part of their sense of identity, which our views are still a part of.

True. But some get excited about even legitimate questions.

So what is the purpose of your statement disguised as a question?

It's called trolling and it is done by all sides and it is pointless and juvenile. That's probably who is doing the trolling. Juveniles.
