when will religious people stand up and truly practice what they preach ?

is religion more a custom than a way of life. most the the world is religious but yet the world is so screwed up.how come we dont practice what we preach. stuff like all men are created equally, we should give to the poor,and treat others like we treat ourselves.

Most truly religious people don't just preach, they practice. I have no problem with the Baptist youth groups who come to New Orleans during the summer to give care packages to the homeless and talk to them about their religious beliefs if they are not abrasive towards people who do not share them.
I have actually had several pleasant conversations with their membership even though I make it clear up front that I am and will remain Pagan.

The ones that I have the most problems with are the ones of any religion that are abrasive or abusive of people who do not follow their faith.

Here in the midwest (Bible Belt), many, many religious
people do truly practice what they preach. They follow
the 10 Commandments, volunteer, give to the poor, help
their neighbors, are generous, visit the widows and the
sick, take food to those who have had a death in the
family, watch a family's children if they have doctor
appointments or personal business to take care of,
clean houses of those who can't because of sickness,
take time for kids in Scouting activities, head-up Bible
studies, help slow readers in school, and I could go on
and on. These people don't make the headlines...only
Christians who goof up do you hear about.

You didn't understand the word "men are created equal". It means that every parts of man like figers, hands , feet, eyes and many others are equally made the same as the other man. All his spare parts are in you too.

It was really intended that there are poor people and their are rich and we do not have the same structure of face and body for identification purposes.That is a a good design made by God. because if we are all the same in structure and everything, each of us can not be identified. You will not come to know your father, your mother or your husband or wife. No identification who he isYou may see him as your father but no, he is the father of Mary if that is the case.

In richness and poor, if all of us are rich, nobody could work for you. You can not command to work for you the rich man like you. You should command the poor person to do everything for you by giving him his needs in life.Nobody will drive you, nobody will make a car for you, nobody will wash your clothes and everything if we are equal on thatr matter. It's not about religon. It's about a relationship with God. The Bible says that all men have fallen short of the glory of God. Everyone sins. That's why God sent his son, Jesus, to die for us so that when we sin, we can be forgiven if we ask God into our lives. Many people practice what they preach, if they are preaching that we need a relationship with God. But, everyone still messes up and sins. No one is perfect!!

OK there is God or Goddess or whatever who is perfect. I suppose. I don't know if He is perfect. I'm male and I have nipples. I do know that I have never ever met a human that is perfect. Most humans are very, very, far from being perfect. However churches are full of imperfect people allot of them are just plane KOOKS> but hey at least they are trying.

why are you blaming the religious people for THE problems , nonbeliever have made the biggest mess ever and always will....our law makers allowed a atheist the ability to take away My rights and others to say a prayer in school and the school systems as we know them went to HELL...YOU NEVER HEARD OF KIDS COMING TO SCHOOL AND SHOOTING OTHERS KIDS ....PUT BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS...the nonbelievers have been picking on the believers for thousands of years and it has always ended in people loosing their life's, for a belief in a supernatural being...that some people don't believe...why , ..and why the same fight for so long...why...generations keep fighting over a fairy tale ?? if there's not some evidents of it being true.....and it's still going own today..in the media..the stories of miracles, and people raising the dead...you don't hear that on CNN....but it's happening all over, but it just don't make it in the paper, or the 6 o'clock news...most of you people claiming to be nonbelievers ...you do think about God all the time but you don't want your friends to find out , then you wouldn't be in the cool,cold hearted crowd ANYMORE.But one day and it will be in some of you nonbelievers life time ...the world as you know it will end...and you are going to be caught between Heaven and Hell and sense you don't believe and have always talked about God like you have ,he's probably already written you off as a waste of time...he doesn't have to except your plea for forgiveness...and when God turns away from you ...he want be coming back for you...so you'd better grow up and get some information and check into some of these things and find out if the prophesy are real, and which ones have already come true....you may still have a chance...read this and see what you think....HEAVEN IS REAL AND SO IS HELL....don't wait til your time is up and you are in the outer darkness of Hell.....because by then you will know God is real and you have been so hard headed and could have changed....please think about this....


THE DREAM

I DREAMED ONE NIGHT TWO ANGELS CAME TO MY BED. THEY TOOK ME TO HEAVEN I FELT I HAD NOTHING
TO DREAD. WE STOOD IN FRONT OF A BIG WHITE GATE. IT OPENED SLOWLY AS WE STOOD IN WAIT.
MANY CLOUDS BILLOWED AND SWIRLED ABOUT US AS I STOOD IN AWE OF THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS THAT
SURROUNDED US. WHAT I SAW WORDS COULD NOT EXPRESS, I WANTED TO STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL ADDRESS.
THE ANGELS ALLOWED ME TO LOOK INSIDE, THE BEAUTY THE MAJESTY, MADE ME CRY.
"IT'S TRUE, IT'S ALL TRUE, I KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE" I HEARD MYSELF CRY, AS TEARS RAN STREAMING
FROM MY EYES.
I KNEW WHAT I SAW WAS NOT OF THIS EARTH,THIS CREATION WAS FOR THOSE OF THE NEW BIRTH. THE

Wow, does not that be large. the worldwide could be a magnificent place to stay. we are all at diverse ranges with diverse callings. we are all instructed to love our neighbor, we are assume to help the damaging. some are extra mature than others, some do not take assisting human beings heavily. each and each individual needs to maintain on with the best of the Holy Spirit for his or her life and to take heed to Him while He tells us to attain out to others. as quickly as we try this, all of us understand that we are doing our area.
