He was not pleased with them for His sake.
He instituted them for the sake of His covenant people the Jews, to instruct them and prepare them in types and shadows for the revelation of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.
The Old Testament prophets understood this:
" Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but my ears you have pierced;
burnt offerings and sin offerings
you did not require.
Then I said, "Here I am, I have come—
it is written about me in the scroll.
I desire to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart."
Psalm 40:6-8
" I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices
or your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.
I have no need of a bull from your stall
or of goats from your pens,
for every animal of the forest is mine,
and the cattle on a thousand hills.
I know every bird in the mountains,
and the creatures of the field are mine.
If I were hungry I would not tell you,
for the world is mine, and all that is in it.
Do I eat the flesh of bulls
or drink the blood of goats?
Sacrifice thank offerings to God,
fulfill your vows to the Most High,
and call upon me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you will honor me."
Psalm 50:8-15
" You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart,
O God, you will not despise."
Psalm 51:16-17

Psalm 51
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart--
These, O God, You will not despise.
Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

‘“Sacrifice and offering you did not want, but you prepared a body for me. You did not approve of whole burnt offerings and sin offering.” Then I said, “Look! I am come (in the roll of the book it is written about me) to do your will, O God.”’ After first saying: ‘You did not want nor did you approve of sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sin offering’—sacrifices that are offered according to the Law—then he actually says: ‘Look! I am come to do your will.’ He does away with what is first that he may establish what is second. By the said ‘will’ we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.”—Heb. 10:1-10.

God required blood sacrafice as a symbol of the sacrafice that was really needed to atone for original sin; that of His Son. The old testament sacrafices were to be a reminder of the promise of a redeemer and a forshadowing of the price of attonement. The blood of a mere animal would not take original sin away. The blood of a man would not either. It took the blood of God the Son to atone for our sins.

There were no Christians in the old testament. No matter how many times you read it. Why can't you just leave people alone? Why must you shove your religion down everyone's throats? If you don't want to believe, don't believe. Do you feel a need to minister and convert others to your religion? Is your religion the only true religion? Wouldn't you rather just kill everyone who does not believe what you believe? You are a religious fanatic. Just think about it. Open that closed mind of yours. I don't want you to believe. I just want you to shut up.

*Rolls eyes* Well, you need to read it again--ALL of you. Right around that part where God says to quit it with the blood offerings. Yeah--right there. And then, when you finish, go ahead and read the part about Christ dying for OUR sins--not as a blood offering. Mm-hmm...yep. And then, you can go ahead and shut your face. Yep...all of that.
And then, also, be sure to research the usage of the words "their" and "there."

The Lord commanded those sacrifices and accepted them. They were His will for those people in a different culture in a different time. They were looking forward to Christ we are remebering Him, etc...
