Yes, I sanded the joint compound on my walls with them the other day. I used 60 grit muffins for the rough sanding and 100 grit muffins for the finished sanding.

You can, but they are much more effective in reducing puffy eyes. Warm them gently, and place them over your eyes for 15 minutes. They reduce the swelling by absorbing retained moisture, which has the bonus of making the muffins unstale!!! eat up, beautiful!
