In a criminal case, the state brings the case on behalf of the people. The state is represented by the Attorney General or the District Attorney, depending on what you're being charged with and in what court. The alleged victims are the state's witnesses.
If the arraignment notice has only one charge, it means the DA or the grand jury decided it could not prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt on the other allegations.
Get a lawyer.

It depends what you did, but normally that means that a state prosecutor or district attorney is taking you to court.
It could be as simple as a State Patrol citation. If the State Patrol stops you, and writes you for 6 different things (headlight, speed, seatbelt, yield, etc) that would be a state charge because they're a state agency.

When you're in criminal court, its always the state of ... vs defendant. This means you could face jail time and fines if found guilty. As far as the charges go, I cannot say what's gonna happen. Depending on the severity, they could have just picked the most severe or the easiest charge to prosecute you on. You probably lucked out with one charge, but more may follow as the circumstances unfold.

Get a real good lawyer, pending the crime or action done the state will press the charges for instance my friend got drunk and jumped me and neighbors called the cops well i told the cops not to press charges becasue he was drunk but they said they still had to arrest him that the state was pressing charges for his acts.
