as you can see there is a wierd line in the middle of my screen that is gradually getting bigger over time. it doesn't matter if im watching t.v. using a dvd player or xbox360 it's always there and only when the t.v. is on. is there any easy solution to fixing it at home or would i have to send it to a technician? also it is a sanyo dp26746 hdtv.

I could BARELY see it in the picture you took...all blurry and such.......

But it ain't right...I suspect a CAP or an IC might be causing that....

Time for a TV Tech to get out his scope and trace it to the offending component....

I'm just guessing here, but you may have a Trinitron CRT. Trinitrons have two very fine horizontal wires running across the screen to support the shadow mask. One is 1/3 of the way down the screen, the other is 2/3 of the way down. If that's what you're seeing, it's perfectly normal, and usually not noticeable unless you look really closely with a constant background image.
