So, when you get home from work do you leave your wallet in your pocket when you hand you pants to your wife? Just joking ( kind of) I flat out told my husband if he wants to take my daughter to church to have a good time. As long as it is not a Catholic church, I don't care what he believes or doesn't. And yes, he knew that was my deal when he married me.

not everyone in that church were true believers. you were not. the guy across the aisle just there to keep business connections. woman down a couple rows there for social mixing. at least one guy there cruising the women. couple of women looking for a good stable husband prospect. lots of different stories.

Because through right living you have a better probability
of noticing a better life for one's self. Also when you make
an effort to put forth a geniune prayer towards God and
then getting that prayer met and realizing it actually happened
then the proof is in the evidence.

I do it with my wife to, and my eyes tend to glaze over after a while. You can only listen to so much nonsense before your body revolts (kind of like watching "Tank Girl" for the fourth time..)

So, are you saying your wife is gullible or, plain stupid? By going with her, doesn't that make you an enabler?

Perhaps, you hide behind her FAITH so you can do your duty? You must surely see this as a duty from what your question says. A duty to her or, is it that you truly DO know that this "stuff" is real and His name is God?!!

If that is what you are thinking while you are there, then I have to ask...why are you there???? You are a grown adult with a mature mind capable of so much growth. The resources are out there to educate yourself. If this church is not for you, your not believing in it "stop the maddness" Save yourself future maddness. Search within youself. What do you believe? If anything. Step away for awhile. Do some soul serching. Commicating with your heart and soul. Then research other religions and their beliefs. Check them out. Find what feels right to "you" Not what other people tell you to do/believe. Relgion and spirituality is a very personal thing. Find what is right and true to YOU!

Many blessings on your search.

Blessed Be.

A better question is this:
If you do not believe any of the sermons or teachings of your church, WHY do you go in the first place?

I hear you... I do that almost every time I step into a church. (On the days when I don't, I'm to busy checkin' out chicks.)

I'll be honest, sometimes I wonder that myself. Yet I do believe and have the great hope in me.

The rapture is like quantum theory. Both sound crazy yet are both true.
