I spoke to a prophet the other day and asked about a man that i wanted to marry and she said "my child it's coming sooner than you think" because a fortune teller said taht he would ask me out in 280 days.... and I said okey that means I have 9 months to lose the weight and get in shape.

Clarification: I went to a fortune teller because I am NOT a christian....

And I went to a prophet because though I'm not a christian I know that God is real.. and the prophet said "My child it is coming sooner than ou think" Now is the prophet real or fraud?

I'm an Orthodox Christian, and I as someone above pointed out, if they were truly Orthox Christians they would not be referring to themselves as a "prophet". So to answer your question - FRAUD.

Firstly, as someone who grew up Orthodox Christian I can tell you that there are no MODERN-DAY "prophets" sanctioned by that denomination so the so-called "prophet" would not be claiming that title if they were true to the beliefs of Orthodox Christianity.

Secondly, "my child" is something that many people will use to make you believe that they are speaking from a position of "higher" authority (that is to say a Divine perspective) as we are ALL supposed to be Children of God (or of the Gods, for those of us who are polytheists).

I would say that if you are interested in a particular person, why do you not try TALKING to them? That IS what the Gods gave you a mouth for, isn't it?

I give you that advice freely, both as someone who grew up Orthodox Christian (even though I am now a Hellenic Pagan) and as someone who has made her living reading Tarot....

What you have been fead is a big load of what comes out of the south end of a north-bound horse and you are taking it by the shovel-ful!!!

First of all, you are not following God's commandments, otherwise you would not listen to a 'fortune teller'. That does not mean you cannot repent and be called His child, but it requires a child-like faith. Once you get that faith, you won't need those things. The first step is accepting Yahshua as the Messiah, and that His words are truth. You will be led from there.

A fortune teller is not a prophet. You are listening to the wrong people.

We are all God's children.

Hee Hee! Where did you converse with this prophet, in a fair-ground booth ? Did she wear jangly ear rings and call herself Madam Clara ? Did she clean her crystal ball before she looked into it?

Depends on the context... In a general sense, all mankind are His children... some of us act like it, and some don't.... often our behavior and belief is the deciding factor people use.
