Actually there is evidence that the universe began with an explosion. I believe it has something to do with the temperature of the isotopes measured at the edge of the universe. The temperature was exactly what they thought it should be. My terminology may be wrong to be honest as I read it in a book several months ago but i think if i remember Right they used the word isotopes. Any how I am not sure if there was a bang so to speak as far as I understood there isn't sound in space.

I threw a rod once in my '69 Chevelle SS396. There was a big bang. I know I'm right. I was there.
BTW, just out of curiosity, where did your God come from? And why isn't whatever your answer is good enough for anybody else?
One more question: the core of your religion is based on stories that are 2000+ years old. What else do we have that is 2000+ years old that makes a series of statements that were correct?
Why are there totally different versions of the same story throughout the Bible? I mean, if it's the "gospel truth", why does it contradict itself repeatedly?
Last question: If God started everything, where did it start? When was our galaxy added, or did it start here?

What i don't get about christians is WHY they think everyone is doomed and needs saving.
So many times someone has told me i need saving, but from what? What are christians so concerned about?
I believe in god and was raised as a catholic, but i don't follow that religion. But what is all this about saving me?
I believe there was a big bang, AND i believe god created this universe. What is your fight with science?

I don't agree. And judging by the question mark after "I know I'm right" you seem to have doubt in your beliefs to. Good on you!
Firstly, you can take the word of a group of scientists who are most likely highly trained and educated, moreso than you.
Secondly, doesn't the Vatican, the highest level of Christian authority, also say the big bang is compatible with the bible?
I'm not a Christian, but if the people at the top of your religion say it is, who are you to say otherwise?

The book of Genesis refutes your statement when it states "the Spirit of God moved upon the waters and darkness was on the face of the deep". Therefore there was something there BEFORE God said "Let there be Light" (The Big Bang).....
Per the Bible, the Big Bang occurred.
Of course, I prefer the Greek account that openly acknowledges Primordial Chaos.....

Time does not depend on the motion of the sphere. The motion of a sphere is but one method we use to track time. Jeez man. It's possible that there was no big bang but we sure do have a ton of evidence to tell us what happened a few milliseconds after it occurred. But you'll never understand such things until you toss that bible aside like I did so many years ago.

Genesis is the true revelation of the creation of the universe and in particular the earth. Notice that the revelation starts with the earth already created. We don't know what happened before that. We know that God created it all in six days. How long those days were is not revealed either. Only God knows. Adam came along after the creation was already accomplished. So Adam did not know either. We simply have no record of what happened before the earth was first existing, and we have no record of how long those periods of times were that God called days. Yet every man and every woman has the knowledge of God in them. It may be buried deep, but it is there. God has shown his existence to us by the things he has created and by that we can see his eternal power and that he is God. God gave us the law in order to reveal to us how sinful we really are. Then we became self condemned, and God sent his son to take our punishment for us. Those who cling to Jesus in trust and faith are saved and a new spirit is put in them. There is no other name by which men can be saved. Jesus is the only Savior. This truth is not popular. I reckon that the price Jesus paid for our salvation is so great, that the penalty for those who refuse his substitutionary death is great. IF there were no hell then Jesus would not have had to suffer the way he suffered for us. Jesus went to that extreme to save us from hell. May God give us grace to respond to such a gift by yielding our lives to him and living a life that pleases him.

According 2 my science teacher we are all made from particles of an exploded star... I have never heard such rubbish in all my life! God made the heavens and the earth, he is the beginning and the end. For those who want proof, people say seeing is believing, but believing is seeing.

I think "God" Created the big bang!
He/she/them i think started things off the big bang being the spark of existence and now sits looking down at "his" experiment hoping that people will soon come to realise that they got it totally wrong "he" does exist but "he" never appointed a profit on earth, never told any church they were the one true church and that in fact all religions are wrong! they are just organisations that tell people what to do in "his" name and I think if it were me and people were using my name like that it would majorly tick me off!
I think "he" just wants us to be happy and kind to one another
That does NOT in any way mean you can tell people that they are going to "Hell" because they don't share your way of thinking even your religion says he always loves them no matter what just repent and you will be forgiven!
but hey I say Each to their own it will all become clear sooner or later some people will be eating their words others will just be happy to be there!
